The episode of Battlebots I watched had a team with two robots: a little hover drone with a flame thrower and a little guy with a mini flipper. They were going against a bot that was assumed to be a contender for the championship title or whatever. The guy leading the two-bot-team was like "Yeah, we're going to run straight at them and there's going to be a lot of physics involved and we're going to hit each other and whichever robot is working after that will win!  "They hit each other, both went flying through the air... and the mini robot was still working  It was pretty awesome, not sure how the new Robot Wars is

Okay, end of first show PROS: - Two classic bots, Razer and Behemoth, returned to do battle - The house robots dealt some damage and were great to see again - The newcomers, Terrorhurtz and Carbide gave good first impressions, can't wait to see Carbide in future shows - Some of the matches like Behemoth VS Carbide and Terrorhurtz were pretty good CONS: - The music was a bit lame, the theme song was a bit meh, and no music at all during the matches - Only 1 house robot for a 6-bot match? Weren't there two in the original? Also they didn't do that much action like they used to - Bots getting thrown into the pit felt lame, no smokes or a big pit spotlight - Dara O'Brian is a bit average for a host, doesn't really hype up the show that much like Craig did - Team Razer and Behemoth both lost by THROWING THEMSELVES INTO THE PIT, what the gently caress!? BattleBots was the superior show solely because of that one guy who built an elaborate and ridiculously complicated robot spider that looked and moved like something from a pretty high-budget monster movie. And then it would lose to a loving box on wheels every time.
