Anyone have any sort of a handle on salvage value for vehicles? My 2017 F-150 Limited 4x4 I can buy back for $6,300 and there's other reasons I might want to buy it back that I won't get into but I'm wondering if there's a chance I could strip off some of the $6,000 worth of lift/wheels/tires on it and throw the stock poo poo back on and come out even or a little ahead, reselling it later for salvage. There may only be one totally straight panel on it, the passenger rear door. But other doors I think just have minor damage and same maybe for the passenger fender. Interior is pristine and the drivetrain should be intact.

Be conservative of your estimates for the value of what you would remove and then have to buy to replace it all and keep in mind that it will cost you time and I don’t think anyone’s views their labor as worthless.

And you're gonna have a hard time having a junkyard haul it off if it's just a shell. Hell I couldn't get a junkyard to haul away my old car; they all wanted me to bring it to them in running condition. In DFW I had no problem having a junkyard haul away a wrecked, somewhat (interior) stripped car and hand me $350; here they wanted it running and driving AND delivered to give me $200, and it didn't have accident damage. You'll want to make sure you have at least stock parts to swap in for the suspension stuff you pull, if you do buy it back - at least that way it'll be a roller. And there's the chance some of your lift kit got fubar'd anyway.

I’m not planning on actually parting it out, I’m just wondering how much a junkyard would give me for it if it still had the full drivetrain but I took my coil overs off it and put the factory struts back on and took my wheels and tires of it and put some trash wheels and tires on it. The only other thing I’d consider taking out of it would be the interior just because it seems like people like to upgrade their interiors from lower trims and will pay out the rear end for it.

I think we've caught it in time before it split us completely. I dont want to go through the rest of my life without her, but I have a lot of changes in my behaviour I need to make, and we both have a lot of development in our communication skills that we need to do before things can get better. Take care of yourselves. I nearly lost everything I care about.

My roommates told me the crazy text messages were because they were "uncomfortable expressing their opinions around me" which means they're firmly in the wholesale racist/bigoted alt-right camp. So they can get the gently caress out of my house, that I burned a decade's worth of savings on to buy, mainly so we could all live on a property large enough so their animals are happy and healthy. Before they moved in, his dog was suffering from mange brought on by living with other people in unsanitary conditions. The wife is leaving for Idaho in a week, he'll be shortly behind. I can't be too mad, they've helped a lot with projects around the place, they're abandoning thousands in labor by voluntarily exiting their claim on 50% of the house. But it's certainly emotional for me, ending a 15 year long friendship, and a close friendship I've worked hard to cultivate with the wife over the last few years, including a complete rebuild of her dirt bike's engine. I'm also going ro lose the cat that I hand fed and made sure was cared for.  I don't know what the gently caress, but I'm entering a new paradigm in my life a lot sooner than I expected. It's very emotional.

Assuming I finish my poo poo up getting my well drilled, I'm down to come rip things off your house for a while before getting back on a plane  apparently I get to borrow an excavator from the drillers to clear blackberries tomorrow so it may take less time than I was expecting.And yeah finding out people you know and care about are Nazis sucks. I've been pretty surprised by a few recently, though the rest I knew already.

well my (current) roommate of all people found a really old picture of me driving my first Civic (3rd Honda). I think we were on our way to a rave in Little Rock? My (former, now ded) roommate looks to be in the back peeking out (dat rear suspension squat also suggests at least 1 person in the back.. IIRC it was my old roommate and his GF in the back, both pretty tall, both very uncomfortable in the back of an EK Civic) Fucks sake, I look like I'm 15. I think I was 20. That sucks man, one thing I've learned in 20 years of marriage is that sometimes you gotta argue poo poo out because if you bottle it up, even the little things add up and resentment sets in. And just because you argue doesn't mean there's problems, as long as you're not being nasty and saying stupid poo poo out of anger it can get squashed and you move on. My dad came by yesterday to tell me that he misplaced the title for his 335d and needed me to keep it at my apartment for the next month (read indefinitely). He put new tags on it and told me that I can drive it if I want.  Here it is in all it's burgundy glory next to my 2020 Corolla. It was this picture that made me notice the tint on my Corolla. I have had several friends and family members comment on my "tinted windows" and even my mom thought that I had gone to a shop. The car is how I bought it off the lot and I just figured that it had the 20% factory tint. I can't find any information about the "stock" window tinting of newer Corollas but in all of the pictures I've seen online the windows look really dark. Anyone know anything about this? You can really see the difference next to the Bimmer.

I don't know much about cars, but does it almost look like the back windshield glass on the BMW was replaced with aftermarket glass that lacked any tint? The Corolla does look super dark.

It's impossible to tell from a photo, of course, but that Corolla looks like every other Corolla I've ever seen, and looks like about 20% tint. What year is that BMW? I feel like some manufacturers in the last couple years have started just tinting the back half from the factory, but it was super uncommon not that long ago.

What's interesting to me is that the front glass is only slightly less tinted (probably 15%). I'll take a picture later and post it but yeah I guess it is just a new car thing. Huh...

Replacements cross-referenced the Corvette ZR-1), and I literally replaced every light bulb and relay at some point. Most of which were cross-referenced to the Audi 5000, Porsche 924, the BMW e28, and random Fiat models. It never left me stranded, always started. Man, I really regret watching the debate. On a lighter note, does anyone know any resources to figure out dead times on injectors? If I use the published specs I can find it runs like poo.
