I heard when it started, it was just one dragon ball but then there were more. And it's about a guy named Grogu whose dad died recently. I remember years ago, I had a friend who had a kid that was constantly talking about the vegetarian dragon ball who was also another character. It was pretty confusing to hear an 8 year try to describe when I didn't give a poo poo.

But is it actually good or is it 8 year old kid good?

That poo poo sucked so many balls.
I finally watched a couple of episodes when I was sent out of town for a business acquisition, and I stayed at a rental the company had secured. For some reason the TV channels were like something out of 1975 and there only 3 channels to watch. So I watched it.

Literally 2 minutes of animation for a 22 minute sequence. Same shots over and over with different screaming and panning of still shots. I swear it was the stupidest poo poo I ever viewed.

Cartoon Network would air them in order until they ran out of localized episodes to show, then start over, showing a few more episodes each time. You'd then have to sit through an ever growing number of episodes of people making constipated grunting noises while powering up to throw one punch for 10 episodes at a time before you got to the new ones.

My brother ended up recording over every tape in the house with Dragon Ball Z, so there's still a box of old tapes at my parent's house filled with random, fuzzy episodes that nobody cares about.

I remember me and my buddy were in 8th grade, right when it was starting to get big. I was over at his house, and he said, "check THIS out!" and typed dragonballx.com into his computer. A couple minutes later, since crappy rural dialup was all that was available, it loaded a picture of Goku with his arm around some generic anime spacesuit girl, not even one of the characters from the series. Her spacesuit was all ripped up so her boobs were hanging out, he was giving a thumbs up, and he had a gigantic boner that stretched all the way across the screen.

Just people screaming and powering up while everyone else looked on in awe. The fight against freeza takes like 20 episodes. I have no idea how it became such an easy international sensation

i never liked dragonball at all but my brother and his friends loved it, and i can understand the appeal even with the "welp we caught up with the source here's this slop"

sometimes u wanna look at cool animated drawings of badass superpowered people that sound like they're straining to drop a pencilhands poo poo in a grocery store bathroom for a while
