Well. One one hand, this is pretty awesome, but on the other hand, that's going to postpone the next gen Miata by four years, making the NC 10-11 years old by the time the NDs start rolling out. I suppose they could just pull another NB to smooth things out a bit.

I thought they were "driving" lights meant to mimic the 1969 Mach 1 that was the inspiration for the 2005 refresh. I don't think I've ever seen anyone using them on the road though. 2005: Rounder larger lights, more pronounced. 2013: more turn signal stripy thing going on, smaller headlights, more squished front, "sort of in a slight way" reverting back to 2004 2004: Keyser_Soze fucked around with this message at 19:22 on May 23, 2012 |

I can't believe they stopped making Kona Blue an option. And making those HID lights standard on the 2013 is a bummer too. 2010-2012 best mustangs. Mustangs are like the opposite of Golfs: only the odd generations are good looking.

Yeah, I don't see why they didn't just stick with that 2010-2012 version for another 3 years. I will agree now that the 2005 really looks a bit dated, but it was such a violently needed change..........and it is the closest to a 69.

Speaking of that whole Alfa/Mazda joint miata thing, I don't know the details of the agreement but do you suppose later on we might see some sort of Dodge based off that like we did with the Dart? Or would Mazda have something in the agreement that prevented that so they can continue completely unopposed in the two seater rwd roadster under a zillion dollars in the USA market?

Supposedly there are a few smaller, RWD platforms in development inside Fiysler already. Maybe not Miata sized, but the are rumors of a smaller 2dr RWD couple coming, possible with a 'cuda badge. There was also the Demon from 2007, that was supposedly seconds away from being built but Daimler was run by a bunch of inept crooks. http://www.allpar.com/cars/concepts/dodge/demon.html

But yeah I remember that Demon as being like a baby Viper and thought it was a great idea. I liked the idea of the Solstice/Sky too although I thought they were a bit large. Is it safety standards that make these 2 seaters so large or does it have to do with that rule about fitting 2 golf bags in the trunk? I saw the Sky trunk once and it seemed pretty useless, so I never understood why the Miata was so much smaller but fit the same amount of people/stuff. Speaking of Dodge, I know they split the Viper off under some "SRT" label, but do they have any plans to release other models under that name? Is that what that cuda will be?

Anyone have any experience with the 1.4 Multi-air or the transmission? I build these at the plant, have not driven one however. The leather on these cars is REALLY nice feeling but wayyyyy to soft I would worry about it ripping or wearing out fast. The interior on these cars is much nicer than anything Ford or Chevy have. I'm 6' 3" and i just hardly fit comfortably inside one, the seats don't go back very far. The front end and back end look really nice the side of the car looks really bland though, thats the only thing I don't like about it. If you have any other questions I can try to answer them.
