God drat, I am getting so pissed at YouTube lately. For the past few days, I have not been able to watch any "longer" video. Anything over ~10 minutes in length I can't watch. Pretty much right around the 8-10 minute mark, without fail, YouTube "forgets", or whatever, to keep loading the rest of the video. So it stops...and a refresh does nothing, it still refuses to keep loading more. I keep refreshing and trying, and maybe it will go another little bit, but if it does, it's maybe one minutes. Pausing it also pauses the video loading. Why/when did YouTube change that behavior?! If I don't refresh and let it just try to load, I get the blank screen with the message "An error has occurred. Please try again later." So several minutes of waiting, hitting refresh, waiting, etc... and I get maybe one more minute of video. This has happened over the past few days for every video I've tried over ~10 minutes. I'd say 99% of shorter videos are fine, every other "bandwidth heavy" thing I do is fine, so it's clearly YouTube's fault, because I keep hearing more and more of this crap from other people lately.

There's some Whose Line fans in this thread so I thought you might want to know it's coming back to TV, on the CW. The preview is a little disheartening but the second part picks up a bit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2BNMuKaums I love the show. I hope it gets better than the preview. The crossover theme better die in episode one. I never thought Drew Carey was much of a host but the energy seems completely depleted in the preview so maybe he was actually an important element after all. I've seen some groups do a sort of pre-planned improv, sort of like Curb Your Enthusiasm. They have set-out characters and situations and general topics of conversation, but then they improv from there. I find it works out much better, as the players don't end up flailing about with some on the spot character or situation that is unfunny, but they have to keep on going with it because the yahoos from Bumfuck, Arkansas in the back think it's hi-larious seeing a man pretend to be frenchman with farting snake in his pocket.

I never had a problem with the show other than entirely way too much singing. I prefer jokes in my comedy, thanks. The 5 billionth hoedown just ain't funny anymore man.

If it works in those ones isolate it to your current browser and find the root issue. It isn't the browser, it is an addon or a variance in your settings somewhere that is causing this. Try Firefox in safe mode and see if the issue continues.

For improv I really liked that show "Thank god you're here". I can't remember any specifically funny ones but when it was on I got a good laugh out of it. Wish that show would have been on longer because it had some good talent.

I loved the old Whose Line but I have to admit I haven't actually watched the new one on tv since the first time I saw the ASSSSCAT show at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in New York about 8 years ago. It's every Sunday night with a rotating cast that usually has one original UCB member and a bunch of comedians who live in NYC, sometimes SNL cast members stop by. It's always been great but I've never seen a good cell phone video on the web or anything.
