Mighty Horse posted:Ah...Australia. This x1000. The most inbred Aussie bogans are like rednecks with no neighbours and no TV to give them even a vague notion of their relationship with the outside world. Also, the fascination with pledging allegiance to ford or holden (both of which are pretty average vehicles, btw) and defending it to the death should really be studied by anthropologists.

Remove the stupid rooguard thing and you might be on to something. I should be getting a E28 524TD with some rear door/trunk/bumper damage...this gives me ideas. With a flat bed could be fun.

I just wanted to point out that having an exhaust leak from the heads isn't all bad. When I'm scouring for a parking space at my college, just idling near other cars ALWAYS sets off their car alarm. Every day.

Raluek posted:Mine's got headers and classic 40s, so I know what you mean. What's wrong with mine (old school ram heads) is that on the passenger side, it's burned out the rubber ring and the studs won't tighten any further that what's required to hang. On the driver side, a corner chipped off the cast iron, which after generous application of exhaust gases has broken into wholly half of the bottom of the head. It's barely held in place by the two remaining studs as well, so for all intents and purposes I am driving around with "headers." Only a miniscule amount of gas actually makes it into the pipe. But I'm going to use it as an excuse to get new ram heads, then run an H-Pipe with powersticks from them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLadyPVUX9Q

I went to the Interlake Dragway in Gimli, Manitoba on the weekend. Some guy poured a ton of money in to an '06 Cavalier, he even put a chute on it. And a 600 horsepower engine.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCtVo9qBH5E I'm fully aware that outside of the lights and modified bodywork there probably isn't a single part on this thing that's ever been bolted to a production Cavalier but still, drat. Also, .

Why would you use the look of the slowest ugliest car in the fleet?

veedubfreak posted:Why would you use the look of the slowest ugliest car in the fleet? I assume because it has the smallest dimensions of the fleet so they don't have to bloat the bodywork to fit. Also the economy cars are cheaper to buy in the first place and are often more aerodynamic than bigger sedans and sports cars.

Went by the local awesomeshop again today. Numerous awesome things. Austin Healey 3000 with something going on with it. Some 308s, XKE, 356, Benz, unknown other things. Speedster. A Ferrari thing. A Maserati thing. A Jaguar thing. C-type? Not enough room to get a better picture sadly. It looked beautiful. Dunno what it was but it said Superleggera on it. Bunch of cars there had Mille Miglia stickers on them. A Ferrari thing I think. Ferrari thing. Unknown thing. Upside down Alfa thing?

Rather looks as though he bent the plate to get the jack under it too. Though, front plates, especially ones as ugly as Massachusetts' deserve no better.
