But record companies are still fuckers. Apple's not totally guilty, but they're pretty complicit. Though having typed all that, I'm realizing you may know all that already. Also I'm tired. Sorry.

The alleged plot reportedly involved Yahya Jhodri Hamoodi, an Iraqi police officer. West had his men detain Hamoodi.[16] Soldiers testified that in the process of detaining Hamoodi, he appeared to reach for his weapon and needed to be subdued.[16] Hamoodi was beaten by four soldiers from the 2/20th Field Artillery Battalion on the head and body.[17] West then fired his pistol near Hamoodi's head,[16] after which Hamoodi provided West with names and information, which Hamoodi later described as "meaningless information induced by fear and pain."[16] At least one of these suspects was arrested as a result, but no plans for attacks or weapons were found.[16] West said "At the time I had to base my decision on the intelligence I received. It's possible that I was wrong about Mr. Hamoodi."[16] He's basically unapologetic about beating and assaulting an innocent police officer, even after being brought up on charges. Spoilered in hopes that this will only count as bending a thread rule instead of breaking it: Every Goon who's ever wished we had professional political cartoonists actually posting here either wasn't around or has forgotten what it was like when Deep Hurting was allowed. His name was Terrence Nowicki and because he himself regularly posted in the thread, Goons were extra picky with their confusion or objections to his toons, knowing he would read and often respond to them. Almost every new cartoon of his immediately caused pages-long derails, the charge usually being male-gaze, overuse of pop-culture references, or, because his cartoon was only weekly, failing to address one current event or another. His toons regularly made for the thread's most godawfully pointless dogpiles, and it's for the best that he's no longer posted.
