I dunno, I just thought NV was a lot more fun. It helps that Obsidian is made up of the guys who made the original two Fallout games. Nothing wrong with 3, of course.

It's not like there were big changes in control or graphics or anything, mainly story. And as much as I love Bethesda, Obsidian has some amazing writers

Let us all agree that Fallout 3 really is The Room of video games. It is so absorbed by everything that a game can be that it forgets to get the basics of a video game down proper.

I guess the main storyline was pretty okay, but New Vegas was just so much more dynamic. I felt like it evoked a deeper sense of history and characterization and relationships, and there were a lot of bits that were so clever and even downright funny. A sex bot called FIST-O? Come on.
