I went with this. Skill 1 Maces Skill 2 Smithing Skill 3 Berserker Rage Skill 4 Assassination Skill 5 Burglary Skill 6 Artful Dodger Skill 7 Perception But I'm wondering whether this would be better. I never did well at Dungeons of Dredmor but I remember having a lot of fun with a combination of unarmed combat, dodging, perception, and assassination. It was basically "how far can I get by punching monsters in the throat repeatedly."

Only clerical necromancers are evil because they draw their power from belief in a god, so in order to use necromancer a cleric has to have an alignment of neutral AT BEST. Wizards draw their power from intellectual understanding of the world, so they have no such alignment requirement, only a beard requirement.
