how strange. people don't seem to trust that weird "banc" incorporated in panama to handle their bitcoin needs. i wonder whyquote:Hola fellow Bitcoiners! To make this blunt, we've started a site that allows you to buy Bitcoins with Credit Cards, but it's not working. People aren't buying enough to keep this business alive. What do you think we should change? (self.Bitcoin) edit: did the background of this pos just change? Greyhawk fucked around with this message at 15:09 on Oct 29, 2014 |

the point of the registered mail is so he can't deny receiving it. it's the analog version of a "read receipt". this is important when serving someone a notice their being sued. if you can plausibly deny you got the letter, it makes a lawsuit against you difficult. this is why in movies the lawyers sometimes trick people into meeting them, then say "you've been served" (sometimes even throwing the envelope at the person because physical contact is part of it). and here he is publicly tweeting that he's expecting the letter to boot. also what the hell is firecoin

Coinfire morons have put the offending blog post back up. Lol enjoy your jailtime. https://coinfire.cf/2014/10/27/sec-begins-sending-investigation-letters/ quote:Several members of the Coin Fire staff initially questioned the validity of IRS accountants being used in an SEC investigation but our executive editor Mike would later learn from an unnamed source that is familiar with the procedures used that the tactic is common.
