two fish are in a tank. the first one says, 'A tank is a large type of armoured fighting vehicle with tracks, designed for front-line combat. Modern tanks are strong mobile land weapons platforms, mounting a large-calibre cannon in a rotating gun turret. They combine this with heavy vehicle armour providing protection for the crew of the weapon and operational mobility, which allows them to position on the battlefield in advantageous locations. These features enable the tank to have enormous capability to perform well in a tactical situation: the combination of strong weapons fire from their tank gun and their ability to resist enemy fire means the tank can take hold of and control an area of the battle and prevent other enemy vehicles from advancing, for example. In both offensive and defensive roles, they are powerful units able to perform all primary tasks[which?] required of armoured troops on the battlefield.[1] The modern tank was the result of a century of development from primitive armoured vehicles, due to improvements in technology such as the internal combustion engine, which allowed the rapid movement of heavy equipment required to construct armoured vehicles. As a result of these advances, tanks underwent tremendous shifts in capability during the World Wars of the 20th century.'

I hope CoiledCoin will be the last of such scams now that it is clear there are people (not just myself) willing to stand up to them. Namecoin alone demonstrates a legitimate, innovative use of Bitcoin technology, and while I don't personally agree with their ideals/goals, I see it as a good thing for Bitcoin and worth cooperating with.

So if I were to create a LukeJrBaitCoin, then would he just be able to mine my coin in parallel with Bitcoin or would mining my coin prevent him from mining Bitcoin? Because it seems like it'd be fun to just create lots of alt coins to waste this guy's time. I'm sure I could start my own alt coins, I'm not a smart man, but I know what #include is. Maybe he would only attack an alt coin once it actually had some hashing power behind it so I'd have to invest some of my own electricity to actually get him to treat it as a threat and attack it :(

Actually I just decided I couldn't be hosed putting any effort into this I'm an ideas guy.

i have read that nigerian prince solicitations are always written with such atrocious grammar on purpose as a way to filter our the pool of respondents to winnow out any non-morons. theyre set up to look like an obvious scam so that only people who are dumb enough to fall for an obvious scam respond. they could write sharper, more grammatically correct pitches if they wanted to and pull more people in, but the people they pull in would be more likely to go "hey wait a minute..." at some point in the process and bail out, wasting the scammer's time. its a better use of the scammer's resources to just select for the bone-stupid at the beginning of the process, even if it means 99.99% of their potential audience throws their pitch letter away

bitcoin is reaching that point now where only people susceptible to ads about free money machines and backed by math and to the mooooon are getting pulled into the bitcoin ecosystem

The big exchanges, especially CoinBase, are sending your personal financial information straight to the IRS, FinCEN, FinTRAC and other revenue and anti-money laundering agencies. The government is almost certainly compiling a database of people who own Bitcoin. Think we're paranoid? Remember what happened during World War II? Gold became illegal and the government forcibly seized privately-held stores of gold. Bitcoin represents a greater threat to the fiat money system than gold ever did, so the same confiscation order could eventually be issued by the Treasury. And if you use a big exchange, the government almost certainly knows how much Bitcoin you've purchased. If you fail to declare it on your income tax return, you may have a nasty surprise coming one day.

also good to see a bitcoin company straight up saying they won't be compliant because the government is evil. this means they might try a gold fringe defense.

They understand the concept of the law being something that exists as a base set of rules, but do not understand the key component of how the rules are only followed because of enforcement. They basically at all times believe that the magic words will save them until, eventually, it doesn't work.

the constitution is a type of autonomous corporation, designed to guarantee natural human rights. it is the perfect model of government and allows the people to carry guns and speak freely so that they can defend it against any changes or interpretation.

of course it was written by Freemason deist slave owner illuminati, so on the back they also wrote the part where everyone has a corporate puppet and berth certificate redeemable for inca gold.
