sleep talk, as i've alluded to in this thread and the others, i have a less than optimal brain these days, which is mainly handled by mass amounts of prescribed stims like modafinil some of you might be familiar with it, it's mostly gotten press because of it's nootropic potential, but what's almost never mentioned is that it's primary use is to counter narcolepsy, and at the level i'm at i basically destroyed my normal circadian rhythm, which was already shaky because i've had to struggle with insomnia before all this started my point being i'm one of those people who functions on a retarded amount of sleep (like 4 hours per 2 day cycle) and after 5 years of this i would gladly strangle a gaggle of puppies to be able to have a good night's sleep a good night's sleep is severely underrated

what was great about atlas' efforts at micronapping his way into godhood was that he lasted less than 24 hours. like he announced at noon that he was going to start this ironman sleep schedule and he ended sleeping through the entire afternoon the next day

re: sleeptalk, i did something like it with a slightly less hardcore version of it where i basically just slept through my lunch break every day at the same time a couple years ago it was doable but unpleasant and if you missed the nap you were literally worthless also i'm one of those weird people who can get by with like 4 hours of sleep a night for an extended period of time and i still wouldn't want to try to do that poo poo again

Wasn't the ultraman sleep schedule developed for like "half the crew of this ship is dead due to a disaster; this schedule will permit the surviving crew to competently be sailors long enough to reach port and/or win WW3"
