It was a pretty good sendoff for Vader too, since he was much closer to Grizzly Bear Vader than Fat gently caress Vader.

I love that he instilled fear in Heyman that he could destroy him and take the title, proving Heyman doesn't have the utmost faith in Brock to get it done without him, at the same time, he made Rollins doubt the Authority would be around to support him, leading Rollins to be able to move beyond the group as a whole in the future. And I would actually accept a Rollins/Heyman screwjob of Lesnar. Or Heyman telling Brock to stand aside and let Rollins pin a destroyed Cena.

After watching The Ascension's promo on Main Event I'm convinced they're bringing back an older team for them to fight, similar to the NAO's run up to Wrestlemania last year. Obviously the APA seem to fit given JBL's constant ragging of them, but The Dudley Boys are currently not under contract at TNA and could come in at any time. also: TNA Spoiler: it looks like Velvet Sky, who is Bubba Ray's girlfriend, will be on-screen fired shortly. If this is as a result of her contract expiring and not some dumb angle (she's not booked for the Uk tour, probably 6 episodes of TV tapings), no way they'd do that if they still wanted/expected Bubba to go back to TNA, right?

Given she's one of the more popular knockouts (she won the knockout calander cover girl compitition) there could be some truth to what your saying there Also Smackdown was really entertaining there was not really a match there I found boring and it sure is good to see Bryan perform again he's definately fun to watch.

HHH probably sees the near future of the WWE as Reigns/Bryan as the top faces, with Rollins/Other as the top heel so when Vince retires or hands him the keys to the kingdom he can point to them as his success stories. I like the thinking, but ... is Bryan going to be wrestling 5-10 years from now? I guess it doesn't matter, since Batista was only really a main eventer for 4-5 years.

He had the cage win over Cena, and just had the opening Raw lumberjack win over Cena, then got promo time one on one with the master of promos. They're giving him the chance to prove he belongs. This might be that odd case where he jobs at the Rumble to see how he comes out of it, then gets the belt via the briefcase in 3-4 months.

Simmons is almost 60 and hasn't wrestled in seven years, I'd be really surprised if they brought him back just for an Ascension squash and there's no way he and JBL would do any kind of extended program. Using their current promo series as a surprise Dudley return would, as I have previously opined, be super badass and if done right could get both teams over big.

I just checked out that Heyman/Rollins promo and I'm so glad Paul called everyone out (LOOKING AT YOU CENA) about how cliche it is to threaten to beat him up when Brock isn't around. And in regards to someone above saying Heyman telling Brock to stand aside while Rollins pinned Cena, it would only be better if before that Brock did the hand sign for money and Heyman wrote him a check.

Everyone else I can think of has a key tag member dead/crippled/etc. - the British Bulldogs (Davey's dead, Kid is crippled), LOD (Hawk is dead), Natural Disasters (Earthquake is dead), Twin Towers (never forget, Bossman is dead). That leaves: - The Steiner Brothers - I doubt Scott would show up to job, and Rick is in real estate - Powers of Pain - Might happen? - Faces of Fear - Might happen? Not a WWE tag team, though, so who knows - Demolition - Maybe show up to be promo'd to death - Harris Brothers - Probably available, but who would care? - The World's Greatest Tag Team - Probably available - The Rockers - Holy poo poo, Shawn would not come back to put over a tag team, and Marty Jannetty is never setting foot in a WWE ring ever again - US Express - Probably available to take a beatdown - I would think they could do the Fall of Man - The Godwinns - Who knows - The Mounties/Quebecers - No one would care but a Canadian crowd - NAO - Available, but I would think they're still associated with HHH - The Dream Team - If the Barber's not currently on coke, why not

Stevie is 56 and hasn't wrestled in 12 years, and I doubt he's been spending that time doing DDP Yoga. The only old-school guys still around and in vaguely realistic physical shape with big enough names as a tag team for a feud with them to be meaningful in the way we're describing are NAO, the Hardys, and the Dudleyz. They just brought NAO back last year, and they'd be much more likely to bring back both Dudleyz than deal with Matt (Although I'll personally be surprised if Jeff doesn't wind up back in the WWE sooner or later).
