In '69 it used a 5 liter normally aspirated V8 making 600hp, while that particular car was to use the same 5 liter, albeit twin turbocharged (you can see the intakes mounted to the turbos under the wing), making up to 850hp. Kind of ridiculous that the factory workers that built the truck think the design or construction of the vehicle did anything to save the guy. If those semis had gone a few inches closer it probably would have been a completely different story. But I guess if they want to feel good about their job I have no place to criticize.

Yeah but I think the Toyota 7 is under 2 mil, and seems to be the car to beat anyway. It was always that and the 2J out in front, the one to buy is obvious.

So at the Sears Point LeMons race, one team did a Cookie Monster themed BMW. Another team, however, did a cookie-themed Alfa Romeo Milano. This, of course, enabled the creation of this picture: I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is the greatest picture in motor racing history. http://blog.caranddriver.com/24-hours-of-lemons-sears-point-the-winners/ Also another guy brought a Mini Moke done up like a backhoe, and finished 34th, at one point driving solo for seven straight hours with no stops. He then re-themed his Mini Moke tractor as a John Deere for the next day.

Pretty much livin' the dream. I guess it's his "bro-ness" but it isn't really as douchey as some other extreme-types are to me. I think it's because he's always been a relatively chill dude, meanwhile dudes like Rob Dyrdek get on my nerves after I got to interact with him (drunk as gently caress instigating a fight between other drunks in a casino). Also the word Gymkhana has surely been around, just like the words Gallardo, Diablo, and Espada were words long before Lamborghini trademarked them, but I would be a fool to make cars called Miura, and not expect a call from Lamborghini's lawyers, especially if I USED to be affiliated with Lamborghini. http://jalopnik.com/5936330/ken-block-and-josh-martelli-talk-about-the-gymkhanacom-lawsuit-full-interview Wasabi the J fucked around with this message at 19:55 on Jan 23, 2015 |
