in non-pun related news: Laibach cancelled their Denver show. Anybody know why? Are the others still on?

Looks like we're finally going to see some material from Primitive Race. Only 3 new songs and a bunch of remixes, though.

I've noted this band before. Colombian cumbia-industrial with echoes of later Skinny Puppy / cEvin Key / Doubting Thomas. New EP and it's free and it's good: http://portafonico.bandcamp.com/album/la-minitk-del-miedo-la-trilog-a-de-la-salvaci-n-2015

Versus Pig, as well. Strange. They should have released at least one song, I think.

I have tickets for Laibach in Indianapolis and Chicago -- and am absurdly excited to finally see them live.

KMFDM is finalizing a 2015 tour, too, but I don't know if I can bring myself to go. Their last album was unlistenably bad, and Sascha's foray into MLM is laughable.

I've been on an Industrial kick lately (lots of 16Volt, Eisbrecher, KMFDM, Oomph!), and I'm so happy this thread exists. Especially since it reminded me how good Megaherz is (whom I had totally forgotten about!).

I may have to take a trip to Calgary this year: Terminus Festival is going to have Grendel, Ayria, Everything Goes Cold, iVardensphere, VAC, and loving Perturbator of all things.

Wow, that started at "well this doesn't seem too bad, maybe it's a misunderstanding like Lowtax and mangosteen" and then quickly took a dive into "oh Sascha, what are you doing this time".

Drink some aloe, I guess

I've always enjoyed the dichotomy between the vague 'power to the people' socialist bent that KMFDM has and it's need to constantly hock merchandise.

The Taurus didn't offer much for drivers craving the sport sedan experience. That changed with the 1989 debut of the Ford Taurus SHO (for Super High Output), a Q-ship of the finest order that offered up a high-revving Yamaha-designed V-6 engine and a tight sport suspension.
Now I can finally feel like those people who listen to Bitches unironically.

Sturm Café's newly released Europa! album is awesome! Slightly tongue in cheek old-school EBM, with proper fist in the air stomping basslines and shout-along choruses.

Can't recommend it enough! (although I think this is the fourth Swedish industrial CD I've bought this year already)

So Laibach continues to be loving incredible live but the first 20 minutes or so of the show might've been the best thing I've ever seen

and not just of all the live shows I've seen. Just the best thing I've ever seen, straight up.

This is fantastic to hear because the tickets were $80 each for the cheap seats. I blame Ministry.

I really hope they play the Olav Tryggvason on their US tour as well. You guys need to see that poo poo.

Also I rather liked the fact that they'd modified their setlist for Helsinki. They played Spectre in its entirety again (Walk with Me and Americana too, which they haven't played that much lately) and playing Tanz mit Laibach and Das Spiel ist aus as the first encores. Seemed like they were compensating for the fact that the first Spectre tour didn't come here. So happy we got We Are Millions and Millions Are One :3: Love that loving track. Kiiind of salty that this was my third "normal" (as in not LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE) Laibach show and I still haven't seen Geburt einer Nation live, but oh well I guess

Also also Mina Špiler is p. amazing

Trying to talk a non-Laibach fan into attending one of their tour stops; should be either a broadening experience or an absolute disaster. Your post has me amped to see them, hopefully the North American tour is equally good.

slight gay derail, I'm sorry

I've been listening to this "nightcore" bullshit ever since I discovered it and I have to say I'm in love with this no-effort product. It's simply take a song, then speed and pitch shift it up a few octaves. It gives old songs new life and I love it. The hook is when you take a song that works when you speed it up, you get this hyper video-gamey sound and I'm so bored with this genre this is the most interesting thing I've heard in a minute from it. Can someone please entertain me and post some songs that work in this fashion? Here's some expamples, feel free to knock this as I'm sure it's deserving of ridicule but godamnit I love this energy

"Ever since the first fan-made nightcore song emerged on YouTube, there have been few sped up non techno/dance songs uploaded to YouTube labelled “Nightcore”. Since the midyear of 2011, the amount of sped up pop, rock, hip hop/rap songs labelled “Nightcore” on YouTube increased rapidly. Some of the songs were great hits, accumulating millions of views. After the bloom of “fake” nightcore songs, nightcore was misunderstood as sped up and high pitched version of any song."
