The Sweet Hereafter posted:To be fair to Red Bull they do get a lot of top talent into F1, but they're ruthless once they're there. I've not seen any evidence that Kvyat was a better choice than Vergne would have been for the second Red Bull seat this year - I think they're pretty equal on talent currently, but Kvyat is obviously younger and may have more potential. Ericsson's proving that he's solidly average, I think. He'll probably score a few points every time he finishes this year. I don't think Sainz is all that much better than Ericsson based on what I've seen, but Verstappen is better than he has any right to be. Maldonado's been hampered by his temper both on and off the track; if he hadn't had his falling out with Williams he'd have had a bunch of podiums by now. His main issue in races is always dealing with having cars ahead of him, which wouldn't come up if he was behind the Mercs because he couldn't catch them. He'd only really be racing Bottas, and he's not usually so mad as to take out his teammate. (Usually.)

IMO 6 hours is perfect, it's enough to actually be an endurance race while still being somewhat reasonable to take in a single viewing.
