I've been really enjoy Tame Impala's Currents. I've been listening to it for my commutes. Can you recommend any more bands who are making poppy / dreamy / rock music right now? Beach House springs to mind, but they're missing the groove that you get with Tame Impala.

Are there any catchy, sloppy, lo-fi garage rock bands that sound like "Bamboo" by Hinds. (They're from Madrid, so I know that's why they sing in a weird way, and I'm really into it.) I'm also really into the weird, lo-fi band The Strange Boys, especially their songs "Laugh At Sex, Not Her" and "Be Brave", which fits the same mold I'm looking for. Thanks in advance!

Vivian Girls or Dum Dum Girls might fit the bill, but they might be a bit more polished than what you're looking for.

Are there any albums out there that are just instrumental swamp blues solos kind of like this one? I feel like listening to some music that will make me feel like I'm on some kind of Starcraft Terran mining ship.

Does anyone know of music similar to Thom Yorke's solo/Atoms for Peace stuff. Especially that cold, chill, IDM inspired electronic sound mixed with nice vocals. I'm already aware of the stuff that inspired it like Autechre and Aphex Twin, as well as Radiohead.

If you get the chance, be sure to go see them live. They're shambolic, delirious and clearly having the time of their lives and its pretty much infectious, most fun I've had a gig in ages.

I was wondering if there are any bands/albums that hit a good sweet spot with a mix of dream pop/shoegaze, I definitely know bands in those two categories separately but I haven't found many with a mix of the two that I enjoy; most lean one way or the other too much. Closest I found was something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlS247blB2c any idea?

I rather like both of the "Joy" suggestions you had, though I wasn't to big of a fan of the alt rock edge and I think I may want more walls of noise? None of its bad but feels like all the bands I search for with that combination don't quiet have "the sound" im looking for (granted I myself am trying to articulate what exactly that sound I want is). I think I need something more noisey and less poppy but still very dreamy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=natQF-y0Ez8 Here's I think another great example of the stuff I'm looking for, I probably should have linked this instead actually. Thanks for your suggestions though.

Can anyone recommend me something - ANYthing that sounds like what I'm about to describe? It's 1) European 2)Trance? electronica? I don't even know the specific genre of it. 3)female vocals 4)moderately fast beats - def good for workin out, especially running. 5)dark Sorry if it sounds too general... all I know is that it wasn't in English (heard it in Finland), it sounded good as HELL for running, and that I don't think it was EDM. It didn't sound too light or dancy. I'm way too late at night for me to continue searching for this, so thanks in advance.
