The penalty for the Ben Smith tackle and the yellow card were both absolute nonsense.

What was the yellow for? I assumed it was for pulling down the maul that was rolling to the line?

As much as it can be understood from referees' actions at mauls, yes.

That's a pretty poo poo call to go upstairs then too, I didn't see any Tongans claiming a try, they just wanted to keep attacking but the chance got taken away from them.

Tonga taking the three because they think they're in this. They're not, but it's an indication of how below par NZ are playing.

Has everyone forgotten that New Zealand choked the poo poo out of every World Cup outside of New Zealand? They nearly hosed up the last one until Joubert handed them the final. I actually think this side are heavier favourites than Henry's first stint up to 2007 and they were the best team that's ever played the game. Mainly because everyone else has been poo poo but even so it's still 50/50 that they'll be coming home empty handed. DickEmery fucked around with this message at 11:34 on Oct 10, 2015 |

An All-Blacks shirt just sold for over a quarter of a million dollars at auction in Cardiff. It was worn by All-Blacks captain Dave Gallaher in the 1905 match against Wales. The match was the first time that national anthems were sung before the kick-off, and the first time New Zealand were ever defeated in an international test match. The winning bidder of this ridiculously important piece of of Welsh / New Zealand history?... Saracens RFC.

And if you actually read the posts by the New Zealanders in this thread you'd see they're all relatively pessimistic so I have no idea who that first comment is targeted towards.
