Yes, and that reason isn't a copyright issue. You just did the worst thing possible on youtube. You took down a video claiming copyrights when it was evidently not.

Enjoy your epic shitstorm.

Yes, it's a copyright issue because it wasn't a video made for public distribution. That's why I flagged it as private. I have had several discussions with YouTube showing that their lovely YouTubeGaming portal, failed to make the video private when the stream was completed. Had that not happened, there would be no video to make a parody of. YouTube doesn't just take a video down because it's flagged. It stays up until you go through a series of back and forth questions with their DMCA people. If they are not satisfied, the video stays up. Then you have to take legal action.

FYI, YouTube's interface does not have the option for reporting such an issue without filing a DMCA claim. That's why I did it.

Note that the video casts her in a poor light, than it does me. So it's not like it's something that I would rather not be out there. It's about the principle of it all.

ps: I dunno what shitstorm you're talking about, considering that it was more of a fizzle and a non-issue.

pps: When it comes to questions of legality, I tend not to mess around. I have attorneys on retainer who answer to emails and phone calls that I send. For a public figure like me, there is always some opportunist around the corner looking for something to grab onto and make a case out of.

Yes, since it is an open and shut issue, the odds are that discovery will happen sooner rather than latter. Especially given what the attorneys are planning to put together for the judge, showing the urgency of the situation.

That's why I'm not even bothering with a defamation (if you read his Derek Smart / Escapist diatribe you'll see what I mean e.g. associating me with group said to be a hate group, is a slam dunk) suit that would be distracting. The legal action is all about Star Citizen and the search for accountability.

Even if they collapse - which I fully expect will happen if they don't get bailed out - it won't matter. Remember that 38 Studios collapsed, and Schilling didn't go bankrupt until months later. That case is still going on.

I am a content creator, I know my rights. And regardless of what you - or any fool thinks - there are times when you have to defer to those who know what they're talking about.

The crux of the matter is that, in a term that attorneys tend to use, "she's conflicted out". And she put herself in that position when it became clear that there was a COI at play and was most likely the impetus for her creating the video and using my content without my permission.

The same Dickwulf that leaked details from Sandi Roberts about the "real" reason for Alex Mayberry's department, the same thread that Sandi sent a screenshot of to that radio guy in some ludicrous attempt to warn him off . There's a 93 million dollar company with 1 million backers (ok actually 700k accounts that backed so probably ~500k real people) and it seems a major part of their spin and damage control is being handled by a fedora wearing, sword wielding, unemployed helpdesk agent that spent 30k on pretend spaceships.

Dickwulf start selling your ships mate, you at least should be bright enough and honest enough with yourself to realise that any company that takes you seriously is pretty hosed up and heading for disaster. However, that's not what happened actually. It's the same issue that happened with Sandi and Skye. The kid just happened to be in the Sandi picture on IMDB. A picture that, along with other evidence (public court records which we never revealed btw) we had uncovered, made it clear that she and Croberts were married. Before that, and long before the CitCon reveal, most in the SC community were saying that I was making poo poo up. Since then, guess what? Now they're saying "Oh yeah, it was obvious all along". Clowns.

In the case of DickWulf, their profiles were reference linked to each other. Since they are public profiles - and seeing he was lying about where he used to work - the work history in both showed they both worked at the same place for a time. That was the only reason.

And the reason that this even came up? Well, aside from all the despicable things he's doing, this is the same guy issuing threats of bodily harm to others on the Internet.

It's a morals thing really. The general consensus in all social media is that if you can Google it, then it's not doxxing.

So no, it has absolutely nothing to do with her; though he put this collage together and is spreading it as proof of doxing. Go figure.

Mr. Dr. Smart, I appreciate your contribution to the thread, I really do. And it's cool that thanks to you some people could get their money back. As I said, with Sandi, I can understand why it's important to research her background to some extent, since it may have direct effect on how the company operates. With Wulf Knight, I also understand that you get all that info from open sources and and it's technically not doxing, and I've got to say his photos are quite funny, but there are still some lines that I think shouldn't be crossed. I've mentioned Doobie in my post. He's a man from Alabama who, with help of goons, has kickstarted a hot dog restaurant in Bumfuck, AL. He is also pretty inept and for quite awhile it was fun to make jokes about his poorly designed menus and casual racism, but people got so obsessed with him, they would meticulously dissect every family photo in his album and make fun of his children. They would know what he's doing at any given moment, what his wife's wearing, etc. It wasn't healthy and more importantly it wasn't fun anymore. Wulf is a sad sad man that we already know more than we'd ever wanted to know about. Adding his wife to the mix only makes it harder to laugh at him, and I really just feel bad for that poor woman. Wulf means very little to success/failure of Star Citizen and as such shouldn't be paid more attention than he's already given. I believe it's John Keats, who said that Newton had destroyed all poetry in rainbow turning it into a mere combination of prismatic colours. By doing extensive research on funny internet clowns, you do the same. They turn into a combination of tragic life choices and mental illnesses. Please, don't unweave that rainbow, Mr. Dr. Smart.

Shameless plug.

Any Goon who already has access to the WIP Line Of Defense, probably knows that the networking code is solid and that we've had multi-crew for over two years now. In fact, we have an Automated Transport System (one test node on Heatwave and the other in space) in the builds and which multiple people can sit in while it flies around.

Oh, and the Starguard carrier is an entire ship. In space. You can run around inside. And in the final version, it too will fly around space. While gamers are doing all kinds of poo poo inside.

1) 2010 - 2015 (exclude one year after I trashed the entire engine and built a new one starting in mid 2011)
2) less than 16 (currently 7, going up to 12-14 now that we're revamping some of the asset textures such as characters, weapons, vehicles etc)
3) less than $12m (to date)
