bowmore posted:it would be a toss up between him and Moylan, I don't know if his defense is up to origin standard though He gets a lot of practice stopping runaway players who've scythed straight through the rest of our defensive line and empirically he seems to do a pretty good job bringing them down, so I think that he's OK in that regard (unlike the rest of the team). It's the same effect where you get excellent goalies in soccer in shithouse teams since they get so much practice

ili posted:Parra's is on the same scale as the Storm, $3m over 4 years according to this fox sports article, and the transcripts make it sound like they started pretty small in the first year and then really ramped things up. It's well worth a click, as you say the combination of incompetence and arrogance is just staggering. No wonder the NRL wants these guys banned for life, no way would I want anyone stupid enough to tape themselves discussing details of their fraud schemes and then document them in board meeting minutes anywhere near my organisation. They even mention that they shouldn't be discussing these things on tape as it's all meant to be at arm's length and could get them all into serious trouble, then continue on anyway. It's jaw-droppingly dumb even by rugby league's pathetically low standards. They needed Stringer Bell in there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBdGOrcUEg8

I'd either have Dugan at fullback or not in the team at all. I'd probably pick Tedesco over him as a ball running fullback, though I think ball playing fullbacks like Moylan or Coote are better picks. Tedesco could probably even happily play wing over a specialist. I think it's ridiculous that they're leaving Josh Morris out of the centre position, he has a long history of containing Inglis in origin. Dugan and Ferguson will be wrecked by Inglis/Oates for sure. I'd pick Coote Roberts/Tedesco Jennings J Morris Mansour/B Morris Maloney Areynolds Woods Farah Tamou Cordner G Bird Gallen Fifita Klemmer Frizell/Merrin Cartwright Thinking fucked around with this message at 02:39 on May 20, 2016 |

I'm terribly surprised that Gillett would rather live in the best city in the best state and play for the best team instead of moving to a rubbish club in that festering shithole commonly referred to as "Sydney."

I'm confused. Doesn't he live in Brisbane? I live here now and I can confirm it is neither ' best' nor a ' city '. Boring country town, yes. Maybe he likes that sort of thing...?
