Do you keep your beard short? I have a beard of medium length and it really doesn't get very scratchy after the first couple weeks. Those first two weeks are PAIN though.

I usually shave once a week. I stay clean for about half a day and then I have a shadow and stubble for a couple of days (prime time) and then it becomes short to unpleasantly short for about two weeks. I'm going to grow it long before styling it again, hopefully in December.

Podima that looks like some good stuff. I'm going to look into shipping or at least equivalencies over here in Europe. Thanks!

I'd also look into some good conditioner for use in the shower. Condition your beard and the skin underneath it just like you would the hair on your scalp

Would regular hair conditioner work or would it have to be a specific one? I've never used conditioner for my hair, never needed to.

Yeah any conditioner should work just fine. Just be wary of over moisturizing your skin as that can lead to breakouts.

I got to play some great board games tonight, met someone new, and am happy. It's hard to be social in Boston since it's pretty transient for people around my age but I'm starting to meet actual people. This is my third time at this meetup and people actually recognized me which excited me more than it probably should

also beard balm is not that expensive if that's a thing you need. i've had mixed results with conditioner.

We played roll for the galaxy and seasons. I'll probably bring boss monster next time for a lighter game but it was fun

I made some delicious Alfredo sauce today. It's slightly spicy and peppery and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm not sure what's up with the chicken though as some of them pieces are a bit hard. I know I didn't overcook the chicken because plenty of other pieces are perfectly fine. I think I just ended up getting a bit of a tough breast because one of them was difficult to cut up.

everyone who ragged on ecco's setup should go and check out my amazing one that you will never get to play and then just loving lament that you decided to play as a pizza or a piece of cat poo poo instead

there's basically no time for me to run something that intricate because I am going into management next week (:toot:) and so that was going to be a last hurrah before I join the ranks of the semi-retired who come back for soldiers or whatever over holidays, the good news is that unlike Gaspy there is no way I am checking out without running a game so I will run a slightly smaller one which will be much darker :unsmigghh:

It's pretty simple and uses the standard Alfredo base: 2 cups whole milk, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 4 1/2 tbsp butter, 2 1/2 tbsp flour. I start by melting about half the butter and then adding minced garlic and crushed red pepper (I never really measure these) for a minute or so. Then I use the rest of the butter and when it's melted, I add in the flour and whisk that around for another minute or so. Then I whisk in the milk and after it starts to thicken up a little, I whisk in the cheese. Add salt and pepper and keep whisking until it's done.

If I had to guess, I probably used around a tbsp of garlic (possibly more) and somewhere between 1/4 or 1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper. If I had a pepper mill, I'd probably also put fresh pepper in with the garlic/crushed red pepper at the start.

I made a slow roast balsamic glazed lamb shoulder on the weekend but it did not turn out as well as I hoped. I think 180 degrees like the recipe said was too high, the sugar didn't caramelise right, it just burned.

The beetroot was delicious though, balsamic and beetroot is a great combo

Also, I was assuming you've made Alfredo before, so you know to use a medium/low heat and not overcook the milk.
