I'm eyeing up a GTX 1070 but the game runs amazingly well on my 2 year old system anyway so it's probably overkill. I'm really confused by what a good job dice has done of, well, everything.

The Trench one has less spread but the Storm one has less recoil, it wasn't available in beta though so I don't know how it compares. Otherwise the burst fire MP18 is the better out of all 3 imo

Wow, the Selbstlader is so much better than the starting medic gun that it's just absolutely ridiculous. Fairly accurate, fairly fast fire rate, and the enormous magazine capacity is enough to clear out a squad- I kind of love it

My 980Ti runs this 70-90 fps in Ultra presets at 2560*1440 on my 27" Swift, it's amazingly smooth. Great job DICE, I uninstalled Battlefront, BF2BC, BF3 and BF4 within seconds, BF1 plays and feels better than all of them combined for me. While there are some minor issues in BF1, DICE delivered beyond my hype. I took 3 days off from work and my wife and real life to poopsock

This gun is like this game's AEK, it's pretty sick. I've yet to get a handle on mid to long range shooting with it yet because the recoil is pretty gnarly. Also, is there any point in changing the recoil pattern on the guns from "goes straight up" to either of the drifts-to-the-side patterns? It seems like a pointless customization.

Had some internet issues, so finished the campaign. The only story that fell flat was the Gallipoli section, which was way too vanilla and has you running solo when it should be all about Aussies working together as mates because it was the war where Australian soldiers actually became an army. It's still alright, that story, just an odd focus. That gorgeous fort (which doesn't seem to be an actual thing from the battle?) would make a good multiplayer map and it's odd that such a detailed asset wasn't reused. Game finishes strong with the final story though, which is the most sandbox of them all. It's basically a Metal Gear Solid V mission on a variant of the Sinai map. I was going for the trophy to melee all three enemy commanders, on hard, and the mix of stealth and "oh gently caress it's all gone wrong" made for some great gameplay. Game includes The Pogues version of The Band Played Waltzing Matilda in the credits, an utterly correct and perfect choice. I also got a weapon skin for clearing the game, and I think more are tied to clearing the challenges/coded entries. Which I was going to do anyway because that campaign is definitely worth an extra run or two, so I'll do the cleanup and earn my shinies for the MP.

For some reason the game looked like BF 3 even with everything on a mix of high and ultra until I disabled GPU memory restriction and I haven't had any stability problems so far. So uh...try that if your game doesn't look as good as it is supposed to.

Is the only way to get the Premium pass through the Ultimate edition? GMG only has the standard edition, which is 20% off right now. I know that I'm going to get Premium eventually but it's not on GMG, and Origin doesn't have it standalone. Ultimate edition or bust, it would seem? edit: I'm a retard. Premium is available on Origin. So if I get standard on GMG + Premium later I save some bucks, but lose out on the Ultimate edition preorder bonus skins.

My only spergy nitpick I really have at the moment is I hope the Austrians have a more unique looking dark blue kind of uniform when the release build drops on the 21st. I mean their current one really does feel like a placeholder now to me. Also, halfway done with the War Stories. I am kind of sad there isn't more.

Single player was pretty cool. The Gallipoli story sucked (or was mediocre) for many reasons. Everything else was well done. Lots of variety in gameplay and didn't overstay its welcome.
