poo poo like what happened today is the only reason I put myself forward as a forum moderator. Beet's heart is in the right place, but he's not been here long enough to truly handle the forum culture. Beer's been here long enough to know better, but he's too forgiving. I would be the laziest moderator possible, but I would've cracked skulls, and it would've been great. I want to build a wall, and make FYAD pay for it. We have people baking Christmas cookies now. Beet, Beer: The hands off approach does really serve this forum well, but, when action is needed you just have to go for it. You serve mod-challenges when people don't quite get it. When people are intentionally trying to gently caress with a forum, you just use your moderator tools.

A thought occurred to me this morning as I poured scalding hot coffee in my own face that if it did in fact take Chris Roberts 8 hours to write a letter about how The Escapist was a secret Derek Smart front for destroying Star Citizen, then does that mean he did a series of drafts beforehand to get it just right? Do you think I could set up one of those crowdfunding things like Ben did and try to buy the drafts? I'm sure Chris needs the money and wouldn't say no. The problem is reaching him would be impossible because he doesn't read his email. I'm going to have to talk to a faltering backer about dressing me up as a gift basket so I can get in there and try to speak to Chris.
