Still nice conclusion to the Battle of Milne Bay campaign! A brutal slugfest that leaves most of the Allied Carrier fleet sank to the depths, possibly an entire task force obliterated - it will be interesting to see over th enext couple of weeks as reports trickle in and sinkings are confirmd, and we see if any of the CV's got away or not. It worth it to increase some patrols at Pearl harbor with subs to see if you catch anything on teh way back in?

Ouch. Now that you've opened a supply route to Chunking the Chinese can't really do anything but throw human waves at you and hope for the best. And considering that their numerical advantage is less than 2:1 while their adjusted assault value craters to one-thirty-seventh of it's starting value while yours increases to nearly four times it's own I don't think that's gonna work very well for them in the long run.

The Age of the Battleship continues!

A least we're continuing to cause operational losses.

The battleships score two more kills. We also see another carriers worth of planes lost “destroyed on field”

We confirm two kills, but gain 703 points this turn, some of this (200) is from base point fluctuations, 90 from killed planes, this leaves roughly a carrier worth of points!
Lets see how long the papers take to report this.

So theoretical best possible circumstances Enterprise and Lexington are alive but burning wrecks so will spend months being refitted and have all thier air groups dead so they'll be facing us if they do again with completely green air crews, and maybe Hornet is out there (I think someone said on an earlier page she was still alive).

So best possible possibilities for the Allies is they have one intact CV with airgroup, two badly mauled ones that will spend months being repaired, and a bunch of light ships that they'll probably feed to us one by one.

Well, plus all thier non blown up BB's.

Judging by the point jumps Big E and Lexington are more than just hulked, they're sunk for good. There are literally no American CV's (can't remember if the rest of the Allies have any) left (besides Hornet?), and when fresh ones show up they'll have to start with green pilots. The Battle of Milne Bay tilted the carrier war firmly in Grey's favor for quite a while.

God, I wish I could read this universe's version of Shattered Sword/Eagle.

Wasn't one of them basically stranded out in the ocean after the first battle with no oilers left to refuel it? It must have racked up enough system damage to sink by now.
