I actually really like the avatar as it looks like a young Scott Ryder and even has the white/blue color scheme. It's very clever.

I've only just discovered the first aliens so I'm not very far in but so far liking the game. For those who are farther than I am are there opportunities to be an evil jerk like in previous Bioware games? It wouldn't seem realistic in the game's context but it would be a big deviation for Bioware to exclude their traditional evil choices.
I'm not much further than you are right now, but as far as I can tell the "evil jerk" options are mostly about pragmatism vs. idealism. There's a mission on the Nexus where people are angry about you not letting their families out of cryo, and you have to pick whether to cave in to those whiners demonstrators despite the fact that you genuinely, literally do not have enough resources to support more families, or else "escort" them from the premises with your military Turian contact.

Guess which one I chose. :colbert:

I believe there are a couple instances you can be jerky and dismissive towards your companions as well. Like Cora starts waxing poetic about rose gardens or something and you can tell her it's not important.

Its just a text file, there are other settings you can change too. Texture was the only one I noticed up front.

Which means Ultra in ME:A is just High in DA:I/SW:BF.
Change the settings to 4 gives you DA:I/SW:BF Ultra.

Thanks for this, the game looks a lot better.

It can't be intentional with that release schedule, but I like how the big central fortress from where the bad guy tries to send a signal to destroy the whole world is called Meridian. Dammit ME:A, don't remind people of Horizon Zero Dawn or they'll go play that instead.

Really weird that a central thing would be called Meridian.

I'm playing the old ones too because I want to play that scene in ME2 where you squeeze that dude for info, then shoot him in the head and the team are like "Shepard... I can't believe you did that" and Shep is just like "motherfuckers must pay."

I can't remember exactly, but you're on a mission against maybe a renegade Krogan or something. You meet a wounded enemy scout guy in a pass and you can get him to not be a dick, but you can also execute him and it's simply the coldest poo poo.

:stare: That's the Urdnot scout on Mordin's loyalty mission, he was basically tortured by the bad guys. I've done almost every renegade option including killing Wrex in ME1/3 but killing that guy is just WTF

Seems like posting in this thread has slowed waaaaay down over the past few days. I no longer come home from work with 1500 unread posts waiting for me. Obviously people are busy playing the game now instead of talking about it, but I can't help but wonder if some people lost enthusiasm and quit coming around. Oh different thread for multiplayer too I guess. Nevermind. Just gonna assume that all the paid EA forum poster spies packed up and left now that their job defending the game is complete.

I'd buy Andromeda if there was scope for more of this stuff, warts and all, but apparently it just doesn't happen. I remember shooting that guy and no one was happy about it, then Shep said some icy poo poo about leaving the body to rot or something. If the game really cared about your decisions the end of it would have been Shep turning into space travelling Colonel Kurtz and wearing a necklace of human/alien ears.

Here's to the new us.
There's the infected Batarian during Mordin's recruitment mission that you can torture for info then leave to die. The Asari scientist during Grunt's recruitment mission that, if you let her live in ME1, you can fix that mistake. And of course the guy who gets defenstrated and that Blue Suns merc that you can give a break from working too hard.

But gosh guys Ryder can be a rude boi on the rare occasions the game lets you!!!!!!
