I suggest that at the end of every theater, every fighter/ground attack plane (not specialist equipment like radar, tankers, drones, ECM etc) we have only one of is forcefully sold by the company due to injustifiable maintenance cost (need a full ground crew just to maintain that one plane)

Inflicting B2 maintenance on the ground crews should count as a warcrime by itself.

we can afford half a B2. We could not afford to keep it flying. would have to construct special environmentally controlled shelters at each new base.

Nah, the more esoteric stuff (B-2s, A-12s, etc) should be sub-contracted, so if we use it for a mission they'd cost us a pretty penny to use. Maybe a limited number also, especially in the longer day or two ops.

The government probably sells them like printers, sell the B2 for $19.99 and make your bones on the JDAMs.

Apple can afford those insane guided shells for the Zumwalt! Perfect operator for that platform.

In my mind they've altered the payload so that each of those shells is just full of old Apple products that were warehoused for recycling.

Why do we even have naval ship class designations anymore if everything is a destroyer?

If we had botes or helos we could try something cute (and most likely die).

Sadly we have neither.

The correct strategic bomber purchase would be a B-1R. Which weirdly isn't in the database, I don't think, even as a hypothetical. But who wouldn't love a B-1 crapping AMRAAMs everywhere?

Well, we have 2 aircraft that could probably disguise themselves as airliners. Drop our fearless mercs from high altitude with a little inflatable bote, get in said bote, drive over to Zumwalt, board her, steal.

This sounds like a fully practical plan.

So long, and thanks for all the fish gallbladdΣrs!

Personally I love having just a couple of each thing - it makes for some interesting pairings, things like "Man, X's patload would be really useful with Y's mission, but they'd have to go skow with it - or we could put X with Z over here but that's leaving very little room for error..." etc

Rather than just say "All our X do this, all our Y do that mission"

If you count bribing some pilots to defect then yes.

If not, then no, we've never stolen anything, but it doesn't stop us from pretending like we're hot poo poo when it comes to that.

As a pilot of the Hawk I hate this idea. I just wanna keep launching Mavericks and Sidewinders at anything that moves.

I like the motley crew of airframes. Requires flexibility and creativity in crafting missions, plus just the neat visual of a Hawk, a Frogfoot, a couple Mirage F.1's and AMXs in a nice formation.

Same. It makes life easier, reflects the fact that our company is focused on profitability, and also gives us a chance to make arguments for upgrades (like swapping the German Tornadoes to a Saudi configuration).

It's very locked down, to the point where the best way to get database changes is to request them from the developers.
