Doesn't av give all 3 top lines identical minutes anyway?

He deploys them differently at times and lines will get more icetime than others when they're playing better but yeah he doesn't lean heavily on a top line (partly because the Rangers don't have superstars to lean on)

i went to game 1 against the rangers last year and man was that game weird as gently caress going in. sullivan had been playing shell games with his goalies so nobody knew who was going to start and you could pretty much feel the confusion in the air, and the subsequent butt clenching when zatkoff took the net. it was cool as hell when the crowd rallied behind him though, and zatkoff winning the game (and hornqvist getting a hat trick) was a good clue that their regular season magic wouldn't desert them in the playoffs that year.

:hfive: I was there too, that was an awesome game.

Tyler Ennis has more concussions than fingers at this point in his career, and even though Pominville is old and makes too much money, it doesn't really hurt Buffalo's cap situation at all and I've wanted Scandella for about 3 years. Extremely happy

Pominville still had 40 even strength points and strong possession numbers last year so he's more than just a salary dump from Buffalo's perspective.

There was talk of exposing him in the expansion draft. You can't bury cap hits in the minors anymore.

Ennis healthy is not much of a drop from Pomminville at this point, and he's 7 years younger. Too bad he's never healthy.

This saves Minnesota 5M minus whatever Foligno signs for.

Hayes was super bad last year. Buyer beware over whether it was a down year or start of a consistent trend

I'd guess Cammalleri was bought out because he's broken since it's not really like the Devils need the cap space?

His buyout is not particularly pretty. If they wait two more seasons they could stomach it a bit better.

Someone hurting for scoring is going to pick him up really cheap and be happy with the 40-60 games they get out of him.
