I'm going to tell you the truth. I was watching them earlier and two of them seemed to be like legit fighting and I have the feeling they put them away.

I was very concerned. This one seemed like he was really bullying and trying to hurt the other.

I still kind of want a cat now but I'm definitely reconsidering the idea of 2. That little guy just seems like he wants to be left alone.

Comp had water and eating? Gondolas. Venice and Paris. No idea what it was. Sounds new. Timed.

Paul tells Alex they'll talk about who comes down later, but its all good because Cody goes up. Paul's all jacked up and running his mouth and everyone's just kind of universally excited and united in the mutual goal of getting Cody the gently caress out of their lives forever.

Jess and Cody grieving but Cody says he looks forward to his freedom.

Sounds like it was a timed event and Ramses had a really competitive time so he didn't throw. Paul and the cool kids aren't happy. Paul wants to publicly call him out and threaten him that if he doesn't win HOH he's gone. Paul is planning to pull Josh off so that Cody can't try and make something happen with Alex and Jason. Paul says that Jess already came to him to talk later. He's pretty clearly making it clear Ramses is the Paul Approved target for next week. Raven still wants Jess to go. Its probably going to be Christmas, Elena, and Raven pushing for Jessica to go since they see her as direct threats to them while Paul is pushing hard for Ramses with Matt and Mark following him.

Ramses comes to HOH to apologize for his POV time and he knows it looked "sketchy" but he swear he wasn't trying to win. He just didn't want to max out the time. Ramses is getting hosed a lot of ways out of his control but he's also playing a terrible game and basically screwing up at every opportunity to make it worse. Comp was something like the domino one where you have to answer questions and get delays if you get them wrong so Ramses just tried to guess wrong on each one and hope the delays were enough for him to lose.

Paul plans to tell Cody to "hop on over to the block." And hand him his bag on Thursday. And be blinged out with the POV and Pendent of Power.

Christmas talking to Paul about working with the people on the outside they trust like Kevin and Alex because "the cool kids are too cool to do it." She's kind of talking in circles but Paul seems on the same page. Paul says he's leaving Alex up to assure Jason's vote. Paul's going to have a house meeting without Cody, Jess, Jason, and Ramses and lay out the situation aka his agenda. I think Christmas is working slowly towards a side alliance with Paul and selective outsiders like Josh, Kevin, and Alex.

Mark gloating about the threat he threw at Ramses. He, Elena, and Paul are being unbearable. It would be nice for Mark to do something one of these days to justify his arrogance. Paul saying that "they" will target Mark and Matt if they get HOH. Elena thinks she'd be a backdoor target because she's really deluded about her place in this game. Paul saying he can't lose the two of them.

Kevin (who is naturally wearing a full suit) is on board the "gently caress Ramses" train.

Paul tells Alex everyone wants to work with her now but they're all pissed at Jason for talking to Cody. So he's keeping her on the block so Jason doesn't try anything funny with Cody. Blah blah blah. gently caress Ramses.

Oh, Kevin put on his suit for a "talk show." Oh well, its still a nice suit. A little wrinkled, but I guess its hard to get to find a dry cleaner's in the BB House.

CancerStick

I think I'm now an Alex fan. gently caress Cody and Jess, obviously, but Paul and Christmas' are getting pretty annoying. Maybe that is just the power of HoH for a lot of people, but Paul thinks he is God, and Christmas with her "I just want to tell you how much WE APPRECIATE YOU" to Alex. I'm new to BB so maybe this is just a common attitude HoH gets and Chrstimas thinks she is HoH too

Alex just seems pretty cool.

e: It just has to be so annoying to be Alex and have these people talking to her like "THE GROUP APPRECIATES YOU AN WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU. HOW COOL IS THAT!?"

Christmas is getting a touch of HOHitis for sure. Its somewhat understandable considering how bad last week was for her and the sharp bounceback. She hasn't gotten out of control or anything yet, but its there a little.

But I also think she's trying REALLY HARD to mend fences with Alex and Jason so she can work with them in the future after they were working to get her out last week. But she's got a touch of that HOHitis/Cool Kid arrogance that's littered in with a "I'm willing to look past that" spin.

Alex is... up and down. She's fun because she doesn't give a poo poo but she's also super stupid and frustrating because she doesn't give a poo poo.

Alex is hanging in HOH with the cool kids, so she's continuing her social recovery in the house. Josh is also talking about Cody, Ramses, and game comfortable downstairs with Mark, Matt, and Raven so he's been making good progress. The social split that was there under Cody's HOH is largely gone.

Dom's doing her show. Its terrible. Dom's not interesting or wise. And she really does think she's doing a show.

Paul's counter programming by talking to the cameras. There's nothing revealing here that we don't know about his game. Paul's game isn't as sophisticated as he thinks it is. Breaking News: He's manipulating everyone to target Ramses, Jessica, and Jason. Amusingly/annoyingly he boasts about staying off the block and doesn't mention that Pendant of Power thing or being safe from the first eviction. Sure, Paul. Its a miracle you're still in the game as a vet.

Paul DOES send a message to his mom not to write a letter about all his sick animals again, which only amused me because the feedsters had worked up a theory that that was all a coded message and were trying to cypher it. Once again showing that BB fans are conspiracy theorists.

He also apologizes to his BB18 cast for saying they suck and says he's just playing the game.

Raven's talking about her health problems, and its legitimately sad and inspiring and all. But she also talks about it a lot. I don't criticize it or mock it because like... if I was worried I might die before 30 and couldn't eat a meal without worrying about it causing problems and had a pacemaker in my stomach and was massively in depth because of a lovely healthcare system I'd probably talk about it a bit too. But it does at some point feel like a telethon. I'm sure it will make a TV episode sooner than later.

I can't do the Dom Show... I'll be back.

ToastyPotato posted:

Yeah, and unfortunately I don't think that's going to change now that Paul's starting to really get her under his control. I'm worried she's going to become a patsy for him to strength his power with the cool kids by taking out threats and foundation blocks.

My hope is that I'm right that Christmas is trying to build a side thing and the two of them manage to mend their (mostly one sided from Alex) harsh feelings for each other.

Jason's been rambling on The Dom Show for awhile now. Kev and Matt take a walk to get some drinks/air.

Kevin: He's been doing it almost a full hour now.
Matt: I don't think he's playing with a full deck.
Kevin: Full deck? He's loving nuts!

Also, Kevin apparently didn't know Raven was sick. I'm not super surprised because Raven doesn't socialize with the outsiders AT ALL but its nuts that its 18 days in and Kevin doesn't know that.

Jess is up in HOH with Paul and wants to know why what happened with Christmas has affected her personal relationships with the house when she thought they had all agreed it wouldn't. Paul says people lie in the house. Jess claims she cared greatly about Christmas' injury and was very sincere about asking her about it multiple times and Christmas refused to speak with her and then attacked her on live tv. Jessica is nuts. Paul says all he can really say is that secluding herself with Cody doesn't help anything. Jess says that Nat threw James under the bus last season and people judged her for it, Paul says Nat and James were a thing all season and James fought for her many times while Cody and Jess were fresh and new so its different. He says she doesn't have to abandon or ditch Cody but "every week is a new week and people do stupid poo poo." Jess doesn't know how to continue in the game. Paul says even if he believes she didn't have anything to do with Cody's move he can't control that others don't believe her. Jess claims she didn't start secluding herself until noms. Jess is upset that no one cared how she was feeling after Jillian's eviction and doesn't know how to handle the emotions of the game. Paul advises her to keep perspective and that this isn't real life and he doesn't know these people, including Cody, but every feeling is amplified and every connection seems deeper than it is. Its solid advice, even if Paul's clearly working to get Jess loyal to him after poo poo talking her for a week. Paul points out Josh's incredible turnaround. Paul says it will hurt more later in the game when someone stabs them in the back and its a hosed up game. Jess isn't hearing much and goes back to her "Christmas is a coward" stuff and Paul keeps trying to tell her people are going to game and let out emotions in different ways and she has to get control and realize when its over she's not going to believe she let this get to her as much as it is. Jess says no one will care when they find out she didn't do anything and Paul says then she needs to learn not to care either.

Again, Paul's giving good, helpful advice and Jess keeps bringing it back to how she's been wronged. He's offering wisdom and empathy when she wanted pity and comfort. Paul sticks up for Christmas a little and tells her to look at it from her perspective and naturally she thinks Jess was involved in Cody's decision the way everything played out. He tells Jess to make a choice. She can talk to Christmas and try and mend things, or she can swallow it and use it.

Paul: You think its easy for me in this game? Because its not.
Jessica: You have three weeks of safety and everyone follows you around like you're God. That's not easy?
Paul: No, because you think its easy to be the only vet in here? I also stick out like a sore thumb.
Jessica: I think you have a house full of groupies and you should feel great about that.

Jess tells him everyone eats up everything he says and Paul asks what he says and she doesn't really have an answer. This is all the Cody stuff he's programmed her with. Its not all wrong but she's really just parroting Cody. Paul says things are against him as a veteran and the fans voted to give him the Pendant because Cody was probably barking in the DR that he was taking Paul out. Jess confirms that he definitely was. Paul says Cody did it to himself because he built this agenda against him all on his own while Paul said and did nothing.

Jess apologizes for not being able to stop Cody and says she probably saw signs looking back. Paul says he anticipated it which is why he took the Pendant. Paul asks who he thinks gave her the Curse and Jessica says Christmas and goes into another thing about Christmas laughing at her. Jess doesn't know what happened with Christmas. Blah blah blah.

Paul: Give me a loving break, bro. "Me, me, me. This is game is so hard." Why did you cast so many babies for BB19? So many babies!

Christmas pulls Matt and Raven aside and they all know Jess is upstairs looking for an lifeline. Christmas thinks Cody's going to try and make deals to protect Jess after he's gone. Christmas tells them she has the Temptation but its "nothing that will change the game". She's worried about Ramses too and wary about Jason. She thinks Cody will work Alex but Alex won't get sucked in now. Matt says Alex hates Jessica anyway. Christmas says she's back on good terms with Jason but he's a "blabbermouth" so he's a good guy to feed info to if you want it getting to others. Christmas, "He told me what their loving plan was!" Matt asks if Jason is "playing with a full deck." Matt, "He got kicked in the head by a 1600 lb bull." Christmas says he has ADD and she can understand him but he's all over the place. Raven leaves and Christmas asks Matt if he has any concerns about the group. Matt thinks everyone learned their lesson "but that's not really my strong suit." You're tell us, Matt.

Paul breaks up the meandering Christmas/Matt talk to complain about "the worst talk he's ever had in this game" with Jessica. Lots of flourishes as Paul does. He says it was 80% about Christmas and he kept telling her to go talk her. Christmas correctly points out that Jessica hasn't spoken to her in a week except for the live show. He claims Jessica told him Ramses was going to use the POV on himself. I'm pretty sure that's a lie. I didn't hear it and Jody don't talk to Ramses. Raven and Marlena eventually arrive and Paul recounts the big hits about how Jessica said the game is stacked in his favor. Paul repeats his claim that Jess said Ramses was playing for POV and cut a deal with Jody. Elena wants to confront him and Paul stops it, which is probably good confirmation that its a lie. Then Elena starts popping pimples on Paul's back. Paul points out that Josh did well in POV. Paul thinks Josh is gonna say "some stupid poo poo" at the POV ceremony and get punched. Paul keeps going to bat for Alex saying she asked to stay up so she didn't have to break her word to Cody and she trusts everyone. Not sure if that one's true, but Paul brought it up purposefully to keep building Alex's case.

Kevin and Alex again discussing their new brilliant strategy of making sure Ramses and Josh go next. Alex thinks Christmas is trying to get Jason out. Kevin says he's gonna throw HOH. Alex continues to tell the blind to follow her as she walks through the game blindfolded.

Alex: Let them think they're in control and then we start winning.
Alex, Kevin, and Jason are starting to remind me a little of James, Meg, and Jason/Jackie.

Alex reveals she was once almost thrown out of an Indian casino for "counting cards" after she won 8 grand. Paul comes by and gives them a little of the Jessica conversation.

The cool kids are talking Jason. Mark's 100% certain Jason would never put him up (Mark has a big head about his social game) and Raven points out he voted to evict the woman whose foot he broke. Christmas admits to everyone she won the Temptation and says she just didn't want to have a bunch of talk around the house. She says she has a good relationship with Jason and doesn't want him to know she cursed him but she couldn't do Ramses. They talk about targets and Mark raises the point of getting Jessica out ASAP so if there's a Battleback her and Cody can't be reunited. That was smart, Mark. Good for you.

Kevin: That purple looks so cool. Is that purple or am I wrong?
Paul: Its purple.
Kevin: What color's the hat?
Paul: Blue.
Kevin: Is that purple? Or pink?
Alex: Are you colorblind?
Kevin: No, I like everybody.

Alex and Christmas discuss Jason a bit. Alex thinks Jason just doesn't want to be mean to Jody and since they're all in the frog costumes he feels weird about it since they never come out of their room so he's left as the only one. Alex basically says Jason's a dummie and a scatterbrain. She says she trusts him but she trusted Megan so "eh." But she says he just wants to keep the peace. Christmas agrees. They question the idea of Cody waiting 12 weeks of someone he's known for 18 days. Alex gets kind of catting about Jess' makeup and extensions (in fairness, Jess is kind of falling apart and like her hair is literally falling out).

Alex: She's not so nice, but Cody? If you don't talk to him too much he can be ok.

Paul tells Dom that Cody told Matt that he was bringing Alex and Jason into the alliance so they could take out Raven and Jess. Paul says he got asked about it in DR so he's going to be hit about it on TV (maybe not, it could hit the cutting room floor).

Christmas quickly congratulates Josh on doing a great job with POV and asks "Coffee tomorrow?" I noticed they talked this morning so Christmas might be making a point to check in with Josh every morning and talk game/reassurance. That's really good and very Derrick of her. I've been seeing a fair bit of Derrick in Christmas' game lately.

Alex and Mark discuss who the 8th vote for Christmas was. Mark insists Ramses didn't flip and Alex insists he did. Mark, "You think Kevin voted out Jillian?" Mark just yells out to Ramses from across the house "WHO'D YOU VOTE OUT?!" Ramses says Christmas and she knows he did. Alex says they'll find out at the end. These braintrusts never really go around to "Who is Kevin lying to?" even though Alex said he voted for Jillian. But if these were smarter people that could have been very bad for Kevin. Christmas was sort of sniffing around about this earlier, in a subtler way so something Kevin's lie could unravel soon.

Christmas has another deep, emotional conversation with Mark saying how when they talk they "really talk" and how for the first couple of weeks she thought she'd be more a "mentor" to him but over the last few days he's really revealed a side to him that wowed her and made her see she has a lot to learn from him. Christmas, "I hope that you receive what you deserve from this process." Mark says he's changing and learning things about himself, that he's an emotional person but can step back and see it. Eh. Blah blah blah. Lots of Christmas doing her thing and Matt pouring out his many, many feelings.

Raven tells Matt how Cody spoke to them in HOH and had weird conversation about how he doesn't like to talk to people like his hairdresser. Raven doesn't think that's healthy.

Raven: I'll talk to anyone.
Matt: You'll talk to a brick wall.
Raven: I will talk to a brick wall if it talks back. Maybe if it doesn't talk back.

Dom's talking to Paul and says she thinks someone Matt for the military in Arlington. Dom's not as smart as she thinks she is. She told Paul her real job the other day. Dom also thinks Ramses is a secret genius and lying about his age because he didn't remember his high school GPA. Dom says everyone remembers their HS GPA. I have no idea what mine is, although funnily I have a folder sitting here with my HS transcripts my mom gave me a couple of weeks ago but I haven't looked at. Dom thinks Jason has the 25K and Paul goes with him and says Jason or Ramses have it (Kevin told Paul it was him). Then Paul bullshits about how he's a huge celebrity who gets followed by paparazzi and stopped in airports all the time. He claims he couldn't take 2 steps in New Orleans without being stopped.

Rooting for a Ramses HOH next week just to throw things off. Also I saw somewhere that the next temptation was to make one of the next four (not Cody) eviction ceremonies not count. Could be interesting if true.

Yeah, Kevin lied about his vote to the outsiders and there was a big confrontation between him and Ramses after eviction where Ramses accused Kevin of being a "snake" and Kevin lashed out at him. Ever since then the outsiders have believed Kevin and been angry at Ramses not only for allegedly voting out Jillian but also for trying to frame Kevin for it.

So Christmas first realized that Alex and Jason were confused and really angry when talking to them and seems to have been poking around about it to find out the truth about Kevin/Ramses. Then last night Mark realized that Alex and Jason were blaming Ramses and was very confused and kept raising the question in mixed company. Kevin got freaked out and finally told Mark that he was lying to the outsiders and he was blowing his cover.

For now I think its settled because Mark was clued in by Kevin and Christmas is more subtle than Mark. But if nothing else people are finding out that Kevin is a convincing liar who is playing half the house and framing Ramses for it. That sort of thing may matter down the line.

And yeah, he's also been pushing the 25K on Ramses and others but Paul knows the truth.

I haven't watched much. Stuff is calm since everyone knows Cody is done. A few key notes.

- Josh is really fitting well into the house now. The difference from a week ago is remarkable. He can comfortable sit with the cool kids and just bullshit or even talk general game. And when he says something stupid or iffy instead of everyone freaking out and bashing him they just kind of laugh and joke around with him. The tide can turn if Paul or someone wants to target him, but its an even faster turnaround then Paul had last season.

- Christmas was pushing to talk to Ramses and try and get info from him and protect themselves if he wins HOH. Paul was REALLY against it since he's been telling lies about Ramses, in particular that Jessica told him Ramses cut a deal with Jody to use POV to save them, and he doesn't want people comparing notes and bringing up stuff. Mark got mad about this as he always does when Christmas voices an opinion but Paul joined in with him since now Christmas is pushing back against Paul. I don't think its a thing yet but Paul just got his first hint that Christmas could be hard to control and a future threat and gave his first sign that he'll help Mark paint her as a target. It could be interesting if/when that happens. Or Christmas could just get buried since most of the cool kids are pushovers.

- Alex is generally adjusting socially as well. Not spending as much time with the cool kids, but a fair amount and "the cool kids" are starting to be less and less of a clique and more of just the overwhelming majority of the house.

- Jason is NOT adjusting and remains a spaz who is drawing attention to himself. Paul is also very much stoking the flames for him as a target and he could be in serious trouble next week. Ramses is basically a lock to be nominated if he or Jessica don't win HOH but the other person could be any of Jessica, Jason, or Josh depending on who wins HOH. And all three would very much be a target.

- Jessica spoke to the cameras to tell us that she's never lied or backstabbed in this game and Christmas is a coward. Just in case you didn't hear.

edit: He thinks he has Jason's vote!

Jessica thinks their story is "a fairtytale!"

Is there a Battle Back? Do we know if Cameron and Jillian have been on social media, or are they sequestered?

Cameron has not been on social media and the assumption is he's being sequestered. No idea about Jillian, but I assume if she was active I would have heard since it would have debunked the rumor. Or its possible no one has noticed because its Jillian.

But its definitely just a bit of speculation right now. This week's temptation is a "cancel eviction" power so they probably need to at least keep it in reserve in case they need to pad out another week. But who knows?

Paul just gave the HGs an extensive explanation of the number of BB nudes, the fact that there's an entire subreddit dedicated to them, and the fact that there's night vision cameras. Mark's reaction to that last revelation?

Paul: People are loving this season. Straight to plow town.

Paul: So maybe don't bang in here. Your parents will see it. They will find your parents' email addresses and send them to your parents.
