I got bored and threw a ton of resources into having an Ilm team, and Ilm x Ilmina is as good as advertised in the ranking dungeon. Just have to use the TWThF dungeon this weekend to evolve my third Ilm before I attack it full-force.

2.0% with 148k points and not really sure how I can get any higher. NA still only gives crowns to 1%, right? That's the full 10k points from damage, plus always ending in the 202-206 second range doing nothing but board change swipes with Team Ilm/ina. Looked like the weak point was average combo, best I've had was like like 6.2 and I haven't had higher than that, so clearly that's "what" to improve, but it takes time to do anything other than swipe and pray. Do I just throw more stamina at it or am I missing something? Wave one Avalon Drake and manually match fire, wave two Saria and swipe, waves three through six Ilm/ina and swipe.

The top scores that I've seen all seem to have 12+ avg combo with about 155-170 seconds remaining or so. Trading speed for a higher average combo count sounds like the way to go. Or just throw enough stamina at it and hope you get super lucky with sky falls for 1 run.

It's 1,000 points per .2 average combo (which is 1.2 combos on one additional wave since it's a 6 wave dungeon) and also 1,000 points for every two seconds saved (50 points per .1 seconds is 500 points per second) Skyfall luck is obviously still a factor, but yes, I think it's worth it to go for combos, at least a little. Every second of move time has to basically "create" two combos over a swipe to be worth it and at least the first of those is easy.

With the Diablos pairing, I think general utility is what matters the most really.

Just spent like a god drat hour clearing/sorting my boxes and beginning to clear my mail / use the ton of poo poo I have stockpiled. Down to 140 mails to clear! (mostly pys and jewel left now). I also evo Urd to the new one with FUA and after a quick trail run holy poo poo this is god drat nice to have because gently caress resolve. Kinda sucks that she's not bind immune but YomiDra on the team lets me clear binds so it's not a horrible loss. These Anubis/Diablos teams have no loving health, though.

You can run literally anything on Anubis/Diablos. A shield is important for some dungeons but otherwise just stack things with useful orb changes, stuff like follow up attack awakening, and time extends.

Meh, I cannot get 1% in that stupid casino ranking challenge. I was gonna play it more but then I realized that the rewards are crap anyways (that's my official excuse!). Back to farming tamas for 100 stamina a pop. I also gave the new sherias-roots (both versions) a try and... why would I play this poo poo over better rainbow or combo leaders? Annoyed: First run at Heavenly Palace of Heretics. Next to last wave, I need a board change, I think "easy enough, I'll use my RKarin this turn and the friend Skuld on the boss." I do this, punch out the Sucker Punch demons, advance to the boss, tap Skuld... and see Lakshmi's skill instead. I get the idea of skill inherits if your base unit has a bad active. But why would someone wipe out a good one?

No skyfall combos is hard. Even when I run Diablos for a 7x6 board I have trouble getting enough combos. I think I need to learn how to cascade.

Lakshmi's active does synergize a bit with the FUA on Skuld as well, so you have a little more control over your orb counts versus the randomness of popping a board change. I wouldn't rate it as a bad inherit but it's definitely one you want to be planning around.

Yeah drat this top floor was pretty tough. Flubbed a lot of boards because I couldn't get a heart in the top row not in the rotating spot to use FUA. Could never get the timing right. I am not being snarky, 200 million HP is very manageable nowadays. My Ginchiyo often hits for 40 million by herself without using any skills in my Yuna team, for example. (She hits for the full 200m with skills). Anubis/Anubis can usually one-shot anything and Anubis/Diablos is both way safer and much easier to play, while still hitting hard. Basically, just pick a high damage leader like Sakuya, Anubis, or Kushi (if you want more defense) and team with Diablos.

I cannot seem to deal with this 3rd floor challenge. I have Anubis and have a couple friends with Diablos. Am I building my teams wrong? Should I be focusing on max damage output, or orb-changers, or extra movement time? How big a deal is getting the 5-color combo off vs. being able to do a lot of damage in one color? I have a lot of good stuff at this point but I guess I'm not good at the mechanics of figuring out best teams etc. Here's most of my possibly playable stuff:   Any advice?

that's the rainbow keeper floor, yea? focus on damage. it can't stop you from delaying it if you have anything that can do that I did it with dathena so you can definitely do it with anubis/diablos

I've been focusing on damage, and I used the team I got the highest score with for the ranking dungeon (which is est. 23%, and highest damage on that one was 23 million), which is Gan Ning + Pollux/Momiji/Urd/Ame + Ilm, but it's just not working here. I admit I haven't tried with Anubis/Diablos, but that's because I haven't gotten great results with Anubis in general in the past. 50 stamina is a lot when you don't spend real money on stones, so I don't want to waste a ton of attempts getting it wrong. I've been hoping for Ilmina from the REM, but no luck so far.
