In a microbiology lab in college we swabbed our noses and inoculated Petri dishes.....literally every single person had staphylococcus and most had streptococcus as well. yeah it's worse that he had like a trillion staph cells concentrated on his chest than if he just had hundreds of billions all over his body like the rest of us, but in the grand scheme of things staph is pretty drat low on the list of risks Tony faced that night. Using antibacterial soap immediately after contact is enough to almost eliminate the risk although admittedly clean shaving bodies are more vulnerable. Tl;dr: fighter fought with germs, big deal. I've had bad staph and it's really REALLY painful but the pain is localized and the rest of you feels fine. If anything feel bad for Kevin as he was in pain before the fight began. Tony wasn't at any more risk than in BJJ class.
