Surprisingly close, but at no stage did it appear England were any chance to score a try.

Apart from the margin of victory in the final, everything went as expected in the World Cup. Tonga was the highlight of the tournament for me. They deserve more test matches, if they got a match against the Kiwis at Mt Smart it would be a guaranteed sellout.

So paulo, bj and papalii rocked up from the world cup fatter than they left. They were already fat enough. So we lose hodgson thats football but what the gently caress was going on in that Samoa camp ? How is it possible to get fatter during a world cup ? The world cup has put us behind by so much. We might challenge for the spoon. Last season we were way too fat and any hope of the squad shedding some weight for next season has been set back because three of the worst offenders have rocked up from the samoa buffet tour with occasionally footy games overwieght. the world cup has been a disaster for the raiders really. Say what you want for kidwell at least tapine and rapana came back in decent shape. Tapine minor knee injury withstanding.

I mean you could've hoped for some professionalism from Papalii, but what did you seriously expect of Leilua and Paulo in a Samoan camp?

Roosters have now signed Cronk, Tedesco and Angus Crichton. Absurd
|
# ? Dec 18, 2017 09:07 |
There was an article in the fairfax papers that claimed the Roosters' magically finding out that Jayden Nikorima failed a drug test, getting them out of having to pay him $375k, meant they were a million under the cap. After signing Cronk and Tedesco.

Crichton's for 2019 onwards but yeah still makes me sick. Even with their salary sombrero they're gonna feel the squeeze with Cordner, Friend, Taukieaho and others due large upgrades end of next season.
|
# ? Dec 18, 2017 10:19 |
Upgrades? Uncle Nick will buy video footage of them acting up and re-sign them for 200k each. Except the ones he doesn't want, they'll all mysteriously fail drug tests coincidentally at the same time the club is trying to move them on.

The Rooster fan argument is all about how they lost Pearce, Nikorima, the guys who went to Newcastle and 'only' bought in Tedesco and Cronk. They posit that more salary has gone out than come in so it's perfectly reasonable that they have millions of cap space. The rest of us don't believe their starting point was below the cap let alone after all their wheeling and dealing to get 2 absolute top tier elite players in and then wrap up the hottest young prospect for 2019 onwards given the supposed salary cap environment of an equal playing field with 15 other teams.

Looking forward to the roosters signing Greg Inglis who attends the signing media scrum dressed entirely in a suit made of diamonds and the silk of unicorns whilst he starts blowing up speedboats for fun as the NRL assures us that the salary cap is not being broken by Sydney.

why are they spending so much money on a club no one gives a gently caress about? no oval office goes to the home games, even when they are winning no oval office watches them on telly their merchandise sells as well as condoms in nigeria a bunch of poo poo cunts spending a lot of money to maybe win a comp every decade. good business model at least Brisbane puts bums on seats Melbourne produce talent Roosters are blight on the modern game.
