Are they still doing their weekly amateurish progress reports and "gantt" chart updates that kept confirming how hosed their project management and development process were? Or is that abandoned because alpha versions do not need such planning, development is more open than ever and I don't understand software development?

SC does not have items for pay that can be permanently lost. SC does not have single use items for pay, instead you buy the ability to equip that type. SC is good.
