I doubt it's scraping SA at periodic intervals and storing a weird mirror-universe copy. I think instead every time you go to a page on that site, it just appends everything after the / to https://forums.somethingawful.com/ , grabs a copy of that, edits it and displays the results. e: especially because you get different results each time you visit a link there.
