You don't even have to go the smith machine route. Most any gym with a decent set of plates will have a power cage of some variety.

The bars on the side are adjustable safeties. Put them at the height of your chest when your back is arched and if the bar drops it'll protect you from being smashed.

What a lovely snype

It can take days before the tear gets big enough to lead to death, and it's treatable if caught fast enough. My little sister had a torn aorta and the doctors figured it was just heartburn. She made it almost a week before the tear just burst open and she died almost instantly. :smith:

That’s a Smith Machine.

Power Cages exist and have movable horizontal bars that are designed to keep a barbell from falling and crushing your neck and/or chest. You can also use a power cage for squats as well since the bars are adjustable.

I have one in my home gym and each bar is individually rated 500lbs before they start to deflect.

E: well, poo poo. Should probably go to the next page before I post like an idiot.

It's a secondary activation, and probably good for working the tops of them, but not much else. Bench and cable flys do a good job.

Speaking of working out...

Is it safe to do a full body workout every other day? I only have limited days I can get to the gym, and latley instead of doing upperbody or lowerbody I just do full body strenth workouts.

I am trying to gain as much as I can without getting fat.

If I go every other day I will be at the gym 4-5 times a week, is that over training?

For me to get this? You are the one who is not getting it, it's simple, just look at the calender and COUNT THE DAYS.

There is 7 days in a week, if you workout every other day, you work out 4 days a week, how hard is that to ****ing comprehend?!
