The Betweenlands seems like a vanilla Minecraft total conversion that mechanically is very similar, so I wonder if any mods have gone out of their way to extend it in some way. It has a similar linear resource progression. It doesn't look like Tinker's Construct works with it at all. Heck, I haven't even found any clay for making a smeltery.

Oops I didn't look at all of the Voidcraft book before assuming I needed prismarine to do anything with it. Turns out you only need void crystals to visit the void dimension. You *do* need to get prismarine before you start casting spells with the book though.

I don't know if this is something in Sevtech or if it's vanilla behavior but more than once I've dismounted my horse for maybe 15 seconds and by the time I look up he's just loving gone. I will ride around looking for them and there is no sign. It's like they rode off at top speed the second I looked away. I've started always carrying a hitching post and lead with me. I've lost good horses to this. Often in open plains with nothing much to hide behind.

At some point I actually managed to look up in time to spot my horse, and get an idea of what they do, and he was just wandering away in this slow sort of eerie sleepwalk pace, in a straight line. He didn't turn, didn't wander, didn't meander, the way most passive mobs do. Just... walked straight away, slowly, off into the distance. I caught up with him and leashed him but I can only imagine where the gently caress he thought he was going.

Either you have a corrupt chunk, or you have a mismatch between your client and server mods. What’s relevant is the part under the “Caused by” headers, which shows problems when blocks, multiblocks, and tile entities try to update.

Only collector crystals in structures will do the auto-link. Player-placed ones won't auto-link (this is to prevent potentially malicious behavior of users placing tens of crafting tables close to one of your setups and preventing 90% of all starlight transmitted :P)


so in a skyblock how do you get the first table if you cant get a resonating wand? As there are no collector crystals, only player placed ones.

Trying to create a simple mod where if you hold down right click to charge an item (like a bow) it will occasionally drop gunpowder. Figured this was pretty simple. Turns out it's not and I'm staring at the mess in my hands in such disbelief I wonder how I ever created mods to begin with years ago. I'm pretty sure I wasn't this much smarter back then.

You need the linking tool, not the resonating wand. If the skyblock's been tested at all there should be a way to get it.

If you're still struggling with this, it's almost certainly the Intel graphics driver crash. If you have dedicated graphics make sure the game is running on that, if you don't update your drivers (official Intel ones) or try giving it more RAM.

If you've got a smeltery up at that point, you can also lure/shove enemies into it, or even stand in it for a bit yourself.

Hmm, well, I'm not sure how you're expected to progress in Voidcraft. The void dimension gives you a progressive debuff that saps your max health and eventually just kills you, so you have a limited amount of time in there and even less time with capable combat ability. The only way to deal with the debuff, as far as I can tell, is to get a voidic suppressor. Unfortunately the suppressor requires voidic power, which requires a voidic power generator, which requires a void infusion altar, which requires you to craft a Chained Skull and kill the boss that spawns when you place the block. The Chained Skull requires you to kill a tough mob inside a void fortress.

So to adventure in the void dimension (where all the content is) you have to adventure in the void dimension. I'm wearing full Terrasteel with Protection IV on each part and even the normal mobs do a ton of damage to me. Wouldn't consider doing this with diamond armor. I don't think this mod is designed to be used on its own...

edit: oh the void armor you make from crystals(easy to obtain in The End) gives armor past the normal maximum. 88% reduction instead of 80%. That'd make things more manageable.

It's Ore Excavation Integration that does that. The mod filename is oeintegration.

In my experience, most skyblocks will just let you craft the luminous crafting table directly instead of needing it to be made on a light-ray-illuminated crafting table. Then that just catches ambient starlight and doesn't need anything linked.
I'll take a look at crop block specifically if that's not set up right.

i think to unlock the market quest and to be able to understand the item i need to have the seeds, which is amazing, to me

i actually like agricraft but i would have preferred to be able to have better storage options than colossal chests and more passive resource generation options than bonsai pots (which admittedly own) while plowing through it

Most of the design space behind skyblocks, and specifically MSB3, seems to be that grinding stuff is balanced/fun by virtue of being tedious and/or repetitive.

I'm a good bit into craft of the Titans 2 and it's pretty good so far!

You start in the wasteland a la Regrowth and some tech and questing before packing up ( made easy with compact machines and cardboard boxes from quest rewards) and driving your Delorean to the past.

Combat is as comically hellish as the first CotT so I made a skybase. It's mostly safe except the occasional dragon thing or Roc that carries you off. Underground is the way to go, made easy with OreExcavation.

I have built a GODDAMN STARGATE which spins and fwooshes like in the movie and it's my favorite thing ever. Also it takes you to Biff Tannen's moonbase trading Post and Casino so that's cool, too.

It also has that chickens mod, which i imagine is the result of someone saying "what if bees didnt suck?. Also they are cute as hell and one of my chickens is also a skeleton.

I guess the endgame is build a rocket and planet hop for upgrades, then slay a bunch of Greek gods? And the obligatory infrastructure scaling for absurd resource production, but isn't that in every pack?

Thaumcraft is dead. It would have to be centered around something other than Thaumcraft, but thaumcraft is the only mod that I know of that has "the taint" and the mechanics behind it.

i had one of those world gen streams going down a mountain near where my base was, so i just dug a channel off of it into a 3x3 hole and put the millstone in the center, and put the hopper where the water went

Yes, but it only measures in a straight line, up to 48 blocks. Turn on chunk borders with f9, try the blocks around the corners, or around the center of that doesn't work. The veins are similar to the metals.
