(Also, I still think that Kai is gonna do something stupid during "R&R", and Gus will force Mike to kill him)

She's gonna make a bunch of protest signs and stage a protest at the court house or something because it's a black man with a 3 year old prior for loving pick pocketing getting the book thrown at him.

I noticed that the blouse Kim is wearing while marker-shopping is blue with red flecks- leads me to believe she's planning something that's technically above-board but will piss off the legal professional class she's climbing her way into

In the BB threads Europeans kept asking about Walt's treatment because they couldn't wrap their minds around having to pay 1000s of dollars for treatment or die in the street. "If you're sick just go to the hospital, what the gently caress are you stupid Americans doing over there?"

I'm American, but was still confused and wondered why Walt didn't have health insurance through the teacher's union. You'd think that'd be one of the main benefits of being a teacher.

He does. It's explicitly mentioned several times that he has insurance but it's not great (though I think one of the mentions is in a scene in the pilot that got cut in later airings, in the ambulance after he collapses at the car wash), Marie pushes them into to seeing an out of network doctor who's supposedly the best cancer guy in the state or whatever.

And also he turns down the job at Grey Matter (that specifically has 'great insurance' listed as one of the benefits).

Yes, the concept of 'out of network' doctors is terrible, especially in situations where you have absolutely no control over who you see (unlike Walt's case where they just wanted some other doctor), yes the thing with the insurance company trying to cut Hank's rehab short and Marie having to go out of pocket to get the care he needed to get him to walk again is terrible, though I doubt the US system is unique in having limits on the amount of physical therapy it will provide.

The US healthcare system is loving terrible and unjust and lovely and ruins lives and kills people, but Breaking Bad isn't about that, it's about Walt's arrogance and greed and need to feel important and manly and respected. The cancer diagnosis is just the excuse he uses to justify it to himself.

Now this is a possibility. I think they had that whole scene with her comparing prior assaults on cops with the sandwich smash for a reason.

The idea she's going to imply something about Huell's mental capacity by using 1000 colored markers is ridiculous and a little bit insulting if I'm being honest. There's been no indication in this show or BB that Huell is in any way disabled, and a few seasons ago he was signed on as a witness in Jimmie VS Chuck, so even in-BCS-universe there's no justification for that line of thinking.

During the episode, I was definitely thinking "She's going to make him look mentally handicapped." Though i like the protest idea. Get some people to protest because he's the only person getting a harsh sentence for that kind of crime. I think outright lying with fake notes from kids would be below Kim.

Yeah Kim isn't going to outright lie or fabricate anything. I don't get how you could watch this show for four years and think that's something she'd do.

She'll most likely make waves and focus on the racial element, and it'll probably cost her her job.

What if Jimmy pushes her to lie and she does, gets disbarred (and nothing happens to Jimmy), and that’s where Kim and Jimmy finally end?

It’s not going to be a case of “we are drifting apart, let’s break up.” I’ve watched this show for four years and don’t think that’s something they would do.

1 - Jimmy's plan was dumb.
2 - Remember in season 2 when Kim was fine with Jim lying to save Pryce but not with forging evidence? Either she won't do it... or break bad. She clearly saw it as a line in the sand.
3 - Back when Jimmy was suspended they made a point that he was not to associate with any criminal. And here he is, associating himself on record with a con that might be convicted again. Sounds relevant.

Nacho is a massive Raiders fan. He also likes reading comic books. The reason he spends so much time sitting alone in dark rooms staring at the wall is so he can practice his Batman-esque brooding.

Mike goes to a boxing gym just across the block from his usual diner and enjoys crossword puzzles and mystery novels.

During the rare moments that Gus has spare time and isn't being a philanthropist/drug terminator, I imagine he probably plays strategy games like Civilization 3 or Tropico on a cutting-edge Thinkpad while sitting in the back office of a Pollos restaurant.

Hector checking out that thick white booty was funny, but the way it transitioned into Gus realizing that he was now just sentient enough for his sadistic liking was dark as gently caress. he probably won't be clicking his heels and back to his giddy old self, but i'd say it wouldn't be too far off to imagine hector being able to speak cohesively enough with enough rehab and recovery. to walk again might be a bit of a stretch, but he could absolutely use something like an electric wheelchair by himself. gently caress, even in BB he was strong enough to lift himself off of his wheelchair to take a big fat poo poo in front of hank and jesse.
