ACB is either correctly valued or undervalued. I don't actually own any Canopy because the value difference compared to Aurora weirds me out. It weirded me out when I bought shares in ACB in late July and it still does right now. Less so since Tilray... numberoneposter fucked around with this message at 03:41 on Sep 21, 2018 |

I will admit I read WSB because it's both funny and horrifying at the same time, but I don't try selling naked call weeklies expiring today on an extremely volatile retail investor driven dumpster fire weed memestock. Maybe don't pick up pennies in front of a steamroller

Lote posted:Sears bankrupt. Wait I mean “needs restructuring” The company is a relic of the 1970s. I went in a Sears two years ago and it was in absolutely pathetic condition. I went back maybe 6 months ago and it somehow looked even worse. Half the store was lacking inventory. It's in retail hospice care and there's no mistaking it.

I'm a lot more confident in Walmart, with its groceries, Superstores, Sam's Club, and investment in things like JD.com, than I am in Target, which always seems a little too quiet and caters to demographics that would rather shop on Amazon.

Walmart also own Flipkart which is the largest ecommerce in India. Walmart's online store is also far better than any other retails. Ya I forgot where I saw the chart of Target, Walmart costumers shopping rate on Amazon but Walmart was way below Target so they don't have to worry about Amazon as much.

NBEV is kind of interesting... its actually a typical trendy beverage company that is swept up in the weed craze because they are introducing some CBD beverages. Yes, anyone can enter that market but this company is big enough that it already has a good distribution network in place. even with this run-up, at today's current crash prices, its only selling for about 4x sales. MNST, for comparison, is selling at over 8x sales. Of course, MNST makes money while these guys don't but it's still an interesting point of comparison. I could see NBEV being a legitimate buyout candidate at some point. Going to start digging through the financials. NBEV also has a lot of insider holding... which I like. edit: oh, they're issuing $50mil of shares into this runup, good for them. greasyhands fucked around with this message at 18:04 on Sep 24, 2018 |
