It's dumb. e: manipulated runs are cool and fun, but you better have them practiced to the point you can do them drat near 100% of the time, like the Final Fantasy 1 or Dragon Warrior 1 runs.

Reading the submission again, he's using single zones mode as a safety save/checkpoint system. If he dies in zone 3, he'll just switch to zone 3 single zones and then move onto zone 4 single zones. Using that system he's 100% going to finish, it just won't be in one run.

I ended up enjoying Mega Man 11 a lot and so for the first time in 10 years it's time to learn to speed run some Mega Man! I appreciate that this game feels designed in such a way that it doesn't seem to tire my hands out as much as older entries in the series. Or maybe it's just that the Switch pro controller is that comfy to me.
