They aren't walking anything back in these edits. In fact, these edits are pretty bad for Wikipedia because changing "the last meeting" to "the last apparent meeting" means they may have a line on other meetings. Changing "two sources" to "the sources" means they probably corroborated some of these things with MORE sources.

That's fine, but those edits don't really change anything.

This is mostly a pet peeve. People point at those sites that show edits and go "aha, look at the NYT change their story!" and it's like, yeah it's the loving news, it changes as time passes.

For some reason I just wound up on Thomas F Wilson's wikipedia page - he played Biff Tannen in the Back to the Future movies.

Anyway lmao ~ "While attending Radnor High School, he was involved in dramatic arts;[1] was president of the debate team, where his partner was future New York Times columnist David Brooks and played tuba in the high school band and was drum major of his marching band."

lol imagine a Brooks article from the Biff rules America timeline. "The under payed, abused, uninsured casino workers at Biff Tannen's casino shouldn't resort to such uncivil tactics like open protest with mean spirited signs. If they wish the people to sympathize with there some would say extravagant demands of drinkable water.

Perhaps Biff is in part to blame for being just so successful in the free market. Though he really is under no obligation to risk his financial future on the bullies organizing the protests when they refuse to disperse even after Biff assured them he would look into the matter. If they don't trust Biff at his word then how can they expect the same from him."

David Brooks, a man who gets paid to post his opinions, would prefer that you do not.

David lives in a loving fantasy land where his beloved republican party is in some way civil. On the npr election night coverage he when trump won he lamented that this wasn't his republican party, which is just so amazingly delusional that I'm pretty sure I started yelling at the screen. I hate that man so much.

Boomers and Xoomers tend to have a bizarre fixation on "success" that's completely devoid of social consciousness or morality. If you even try to imply that they shouldn't gently caress someone 25 years younger than they are just because they can, then you're worse than Hitler.
