I think it's the word fad describing all of this. As a fellow sadbrains you got to do what you need to do in order to make it through the day sometimes. Is having a visual reminder that everything is going to be okay is helpful and healthy for you, go for it. My beef is with the people latching onto it because it's trendy and even worse turning it into a form of slacktivism. Dixville, you're awesome for donating. EDIT: Oof, what a snipe. Here, have a tattoo of a sniper. I brought my Drake has a new favorite as of 00:34 on Dec 11, 2018 |

On punctuation tattos, I kinda want to get the classic typewriter owl, the OG ASCII art. Because my ex/BFF's internet handle is Owl. https://goo.gl/images/1aKjQo

So Mel B claimed she had a tattoo of hers sliced off and keeps it in a jar. Her friend was peforming a surgery on her and she asked her to removed it, during the operation. The tattoo is a reminder of an abusive ex. Now, this is absolute nonsense innit? You can't slice off and keep a tattoo can you?

It it's small enough you could cut it out, sure. A bigger piece would probably need a skin graft though to fill the gap though so not as easy, I dunno how deep a tattoo goes and if that would be warranted though. As far as keeping it, I guess if you're buddy buddy with the person doing the removal and/or they're some kind of weird pseudo-surgical cosmetologist who doesn't need to really give a poo poo about proper biological waste disposal protocols then I don't see it being impossible. Tattoos go pretty deep, you're actually just seeing them through the translucency of the upper layer of skin, the ink is deposited in a deeper layer of scar tissue. You'd have to gouge out pretty thick hunks to get the fully saturated piece and not just some thin faded, incomplete superficial layer.

I know we want to blame people for their problems but sometimes bad poo poo happens that you truly can't control and that's ok. I mean giving your tats away after you die is weird and hosed up but people who have terminal illnesses tend be weird and hosed up because it's traumatic.

I had heard stories so I did a quick search and found this: https://www.cvltnation.com/dead-skin-living-art-the-museum-of-tattooed-skin/ Basically, you'd have to tan it like an animal hide, but it's totally doable.
