I can understand that what was done was open (tossing a crab), compared to something a bit more behind closed doors (sexual harassment with a side of white nationalist/nazi friends), but yeah, I think both are bad and deserve permanent bans! (they're not equal in terms of bad-ness, but it's a low bar to clear w/r/t social acceptability)

The comment is a slam on how the smash community specifically has been arguing hard against a code of conduct and treating women with respect specifically because more than a few smash players have been accused of sexual assault and the usual "eh boys will be boys" gets said in response. One of them, who got taken to court over it, threatened to sue any tournament that barred him for being a sexual assaulter because the girl and her family dropped the case, because court cases are stressful. So "legally you can't say I did it" The smash community is loving gross.
