the cpu is a standard socketed cpu so you can buy the 8 core and upgrade to the 28 but intel probably wont release a die shrink on this socket the factory ssds look like short m.2 and possibly proprietary, you could add storage using the pci-e slots though

so i have a friend that wants an ipad but is confused by the difference between all the models. i laughed but then I checked. The new Air is physically larger than the iPad normal, and there's two generations of pros, and also a mini. lol it's the performa era again

it has expansion slots, even if they stick a dumb t2 chip and proprietary ssd in it you can add a bunch of pcie to m2 carriers not that it matters because this machine doesn't actually exist, they made sure to price it high enough that nobody will ever order one and blow their charade
