I like how James told Ed that Laura was the One. Also that scene of Ronette is just amazing every time I see it. That new Lynch biography colors that "vision" given the time he and his brother saw a woman stumbling along their street looking pretty messed up, torn dress, etc (and they were like 6 or so) Peacoffee fucked around with this message at 05:51 on Aug 25, 2019 |

God it was such a blast watching that again and seeing it all back at the beginning. It is great having the benefit of hindsight in a lot of ways, but I cannot watch that scene of Pete walking out to go fishing without thinking of the tail end of season 3 and that brief beautiful moment where we see what might have been if Laura had been saved. I love how quickly they dismiss the tired old trope of the FBI and local law enforcement not getting along. Cooper briefly brings it up on their first meeting but Truman just reminds him that they're thrilled to have his expertise, and the growing rapport between them as the episode progresses is just so great (Cooper's thumbs-up on the stakeout always cracks me up).

Rageaholic posted:Bobby and Mike barking is so loving weird lmao I think that's a foreshadowing (?) to the Drunk in Season 3. https://twinpeaks.fandom.com/wiki/Drunk Also, the school is not a thing in season 3 anymore, right? And the mill is gone, too? It was great seeing this again. I loooved the fifties feel of that motorcycle gang. Twin Peaks is truly a place out of time. Some great acting when James tells Donna about the last time he saw Laura. And that scene happens like that in FWWM.
