For those of you who didn't see it,the context of the comment that Marquez is complaining about is Eddie Murphy in character as Gumby, griping about how he made Eddie Murphy the comedian a star and how ungrateful Eddie Murphy was. So it's Eddie Murphy, playing a character, complaining about himself. As opposed to, say, Jim Cornette dredging up a tasteless joke with racist overtones from the 1980s for no particular reason.
