I can understand that he's providing useful intel, but you realize that the stuff he posted in some of those screenshots is indefensible, right?

like this isn't loving inglorious basterds where the guy with otherwise perfect cover gets caught because germans count on their fingers starting with their thumb and not their index finger, he just straight up used the same name, linked his SA account and poo poo

I don't see how he had to remain a mod to do any of that. If anything, getting demodded by the evil trans and leftist posters would have given him more credibility. Keeping him as a mod means that he has access to powers a normal user shouldn't, which is very very very bad if he is taskable by the Nazis.

At the same time, you don't know who Jones is talking to outside of what he's given you. You have no way of knowing how much of that data or those threats are legitimate without something external confirming it. Why go through the trouble of actually doing something if you can have the mole pass a threat, knowing you'll take it super seriously? At that point, the Nazis don't have to ever do anything and get the exact same results with less risk, while further ingratiating their mole to you all.

Counterintelligence poo poo is complicated, which is every single resource on "Hey, I think a spy is trying to get something out of me" has "DO NOT TRY TO COUNTERINTELLIGENCE THEM, CALL THE loving FEDS" as the first bullet.

If all of this is one hundred percent true, then it's still been exposed because he had to be recognizable there, and now you've lost sources and methods, which is your current problem and concern.

If it's all bullshit, how much has he gotten on goons and passed to the Nazis? What has he gotten out of you by virtue of being your "guy on the inside"?

These are questions that don't necessarily need a public response, but they do need some thought because once again, this is complicated poo poo that shouldn't be entered into willy nilly.
