Just as a reminder, it wasn't that long ago that United drew against 10 men Southampton, and that was the "we lost 9-0" Southampton.

So this was very fun :)

I'll certainly take it over being dumped out at home after bringing back an away goal lead to the 2nd leg lmao

Istanbul Basaksehir v FC Copenhagen
Olympiacos v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Rangers v Bayer Leverkusen
Wolfsburg v Shakhtar Donetsk
Internazionale v Getafe
Sevilla v Roma
FC Salzburg or Eintracht Frankfurt v Basel
LASK v Manchester United

I’ll take it

Surprised Eljero Elia has a club and is not literally an invisible ghost that club staff simply walk through when he shows up to negotiate a contract

Also gonna add to the lol Robinho chorus

E: Actually the biggest lol is imagining telling the me of 10 years ago that some day a club will give Elia the 11 shirt and Robinho has to settle for 70

Robinho is probably just happy to still be playing football and not be rotting in some Brazilian gulag for gang rape.

One of the worst left backs if not the worst that I've ever seen play for Celtic, Edson Braafheid, came on as a sub during that World Cup final directly after his loan spell at us was over, and was in fact out of position for the winning goal. Completely inexplicable.

I'd love to see a list of the "worst" players to play in a World Cup Final, and also the "unlikely" winners like Ryan Bertrand starting and winning the Champions League in his first appearance in the competition.

I'd never even heard of Edson Braafheid until just now.

My emphasis is on players who actually played in the Final not like that French dude who was loving Pamela Anderson and played zero minutes in the World Cup but was on the bench for every match and got a medal.

Wolves are trying to get UEFA to postpone the game against Olympiacos because the Olympiacos chairman has tested positive for Covid-19, but in the same story it says he also met all the Forest players before their game with Millwall so gently caress knows what that’ll do to the EFL.
