Not sure why it's such an issue to begin with - they have game assets like space stations that are similar in size and complexity. Everyone working on this drat swamp of a project looks so defeated its sad.  Man I feel so bad for the actual developers, like having to achieve something that you probably know is near impossible or could be done more efficiently must be so grueling. There's probably some talented people working there but with the kind of management they have I don't see it getting better. (it's also a funny video to listen to)

Player Status System AMA How long, in real time gameplay, will it take for hunger and thirst to start adversely affecting players in tier 0? We haven't locked down the actual specifics right now as we are in the midst of testing - but it will be several real life hours before you die from starvation. That means eating is mandatory and not just for buffs debuffs althou it was stated in the past it wouldn't be. so it looks like there was a huge scam going around the gray market since late 2019 with a user (or multiple users) buying tons and tons of poo poo for inflated prices (like 1.2x or 1.3x what you can buy from CIG directly lol), then selling them off for half of what they bought it for (they would contest the PayPal transactions as well) the scammers then turned around and reclaimed the accounts they sold or told CIG they were hacked to reverse the transactions, essentially leaving the buyers holding the bag (the buyers lost real money either through PayPal or other means and also had the ships/credits they purchased or traded removed from their accounts lol) while investigating this poo poo, CIG locks you out of your account completely A guy one day ago on Reddit posted:So account was locked on 31st January. We are now 5-6 weeks later and still have received no word of communication from CIG despite numerous emails and replys to the support ticket they initiated. Still locked out of account. WTF is going on? What is the next step from here to force this to a resolution? This account has about $40,000 USD on it, and is locked due to receiving a $150 or so value ship from this fuckwit. there's rumblings that almost all the major sales/trades for the last six months have been tainted using their hacked PayPals or stolen credit cards but its not money laundering at all, no sir. its totally loving normal for this to happen with a goddamn video game lol

its also really shady that the current top buyers on starcitizen_trades are all new reddit accounts (six months or less) with almost zero posting history or random posting history with nothing to do with Star Citizen, are placing huge orders (sometimes for a few thousand dollars a week) and their usernames follow the same pattern SomewhatShady LikeThis1 Ornumber2192831
