i thought the whole idea of jumping out of hospital windows to a floor below was bizarre and i thought it was even more bizarre that you end up doing it three times. that has some serious rear end video game logic to it

Spent a few hours in Resistance tonight. Its pretty fun, though I was only ever getting to play survivors. Two things I don't understand: 1: each survivor has their own leveling system. You've been playing Becca? Great, someone else in the lobby picked her first, go play someone else who has no ranks. You can't equip any of your unlocked equipment because this Martin fella has three equipment points. This sucks, and feels like unnecessary padding to have six different people to rank up. 2: you won a game as survivors with randoms! Great job. Please return to the main menu and search for a new lobby of strangers. You can't just say "play again with this team", because, uh. That feels like it would greatly reduce the wait times for games, because it's a solid five to ten minutes looking for a game in Quick Play with no preference as to which side you're on.

Absolutely the worst part of the game. Would’ve loved to continue with a really helpful team I was playing with and have a rematch against the mastermind we barely won over, it was a fun dynamic. Instead I gotta wait. Hate matchmaking in games, just give us lobbies

beat the game! I have no idea how I am so bad at this (other than being just straight-up terrible at dodging), I was pretty good in RE2! well at least I got my money's worth!

The game is legitimately harder than RE2make, between Nemesis boss fights and the Hunter Betas, so don't feel bad.

(Which actually really helped in the hospital—as I was about to do the final battle of Carlos' segment, not only had I missed the double-mag upgrade for the AR, but I had practically zero ammunition and no health items. Went back a save, did things differently, and was able to have a lot more supplies for that fight (which I also died a lot to))

How do I clear out my bobblehead count? Erase my save file completely? I want to platinum this, and figured it'd be easier to go in fresh with a guide rather try to figure out which bobbleheads I already got.

My second playthrough was just getting Bobbleheads and six missing documents and it took two and a half hours since you can see what files you've got in a cleared* save and just hit all the Bobbleheads pretty quickly. That's a good point about the files rabidsquid posted:why would it be easier? if you go to a bobblehead you already got isn't that like, the same thing? This is by design. Capcom purposely made leveling up grindy in order to sell you XP boosters for real money. More XP also means more loot boxes and that means more chances to get actually useful items and cosmetics. Like any loot box system 90% of what you get from the loot boxes is garbage.

Finished! I did my first run on hardcore, which I can sort of recommend. You don't have enough ammo for everything and I ran around dodging a whole lot-- actually in the hospital, Carlos did his best Leon impression by repeatedly punching hunters in the jaw. But also the bosses take a few too many hits to kill and the hospital lobby blows. 6 hours of completion time and 7.5 of real time for me. Anyway, game good. I don't see how people could compare this to DLC. There definitely needed to be one more section of the city though. Also, why the HECK can you not kneecap zombies like in RE2? It's pointless to shoot them in the leg because it takes so many shots. Only worth shotgunning pale-heads in the legs if you need to run by imo. My favorite note was the allusion to RE4 where the doc is like killer viruses are nbd, but parasites??? you crazy fool. I'm gonna do my next run on assisted so I can actually collect everything. I missed a bunch of stuff because I was running around dodging. When I play as MM, especially Annette, I consistently get DC'd during the countdown when I'm spawning unlimited traps and monsters. I don't think the game can handle the amount of stuff you can spam.

I read it like that because it happened the instant after William despawned and we'd already cleared the room but that could be the case too, had my own connectivity issues.

Come to think of it the little intro video has the mastermind siccing a licker in the survivors and they aren't in the game, probably would be a pain in the rear end to implement the wall crawling, and it's a bit too fast to be fair.

You can get lickers if you level up your masterminds enough and they are complete trash, they cost 7 points to spawn and they are very easy to stunlock. You're better off spamming a few normal zombies than spawning a licker.

Pleased to find that it wasn't too hard to shake the rust off from my REmake 2 playing, and that I'm capable of gitting gud at 3. Next up: up the difficulty, unlock the infinite ammo assault rifle, and really properly plot a route that cuts out the unnecessary bullshit I tend to collect like random gunpowders and stuff.
