Yeah, he went out of his way to point out that he wouldn't suck dick earlier in the episode and looked disgusted. Between that, and the homophobe having to do a gay sex trope, that part of this ep seemed weirdly mean-spirited.

Uh, I think you have misread a lot of this. Lazlo is bi and he said he wouldn't suck dick backwards (implying he is good at sucking dick and knows what he's doing)

Very happy to be wrong. I thought I remembered him being into dudes, so it all seemed really weird.

He's absolutely into dudes (and dudettes, he and his wife are both bi), the first episode had a subplot about his past sexual affair with The Baron and he's starred in a number of gay pornos (including the confusing and allegedly boring Vampire Tricked in Steam Room).

I think the issue wasn't that it was a guy, but rather that it was A) a ghost and B) himself, even the most sexually adventurous person has a point where things start to feel weird for them and I guess for Laszlo spectral selfcest is that point where he feels uncomfortable.

Laszlo also seems like he would lie about being unable to finish himself off in order to get laid. Like more of a “Am I both literally and figuratively loving with myself?”

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE DEAD, MOTHERFUCKER?

Fallen Rib
My take on the Lazlo situation is that it was the circumstances. His character has been portrayed as a very machismo seduction type guy and he basically got forced into giving his ghost a handie. If his ghost had to give HIM a handie I feel like he'd have taken it no questions asked.

I rewatched the orgy episode and he gets very into miming both giving and receiving oral sex at the same time. In any case I also found it weird that he was so reluctant to jack off his ghost self.

Also the orgy episode is worth a rewatch just to hear Nandor pronounce the word “orgy”

I guess my question is how. Nando couldn't do anything to the ghost of Jesk because he was intangible.

They could move stuff around the house so maybe they can get a bit corporeal?

After seeing Guillermo struggle with a basic task like opening that door in the vampire hunters' den but still being good at killing vampires, and then thinking of all the times familiars have gotten killed in this show, his Van Helsing blood being some kind of four leaf clover is the only reason he's still alive.

The part where they tried to give one last night of wonder to the double hypnotized dude before they killed him was supposed to be the capstone of the superb owl plot but it fell flat, if they'd done something different with that I think it would've been a top notch episode.

I don't know, that whole gag was done to death decades ago, the whole All About Eve thing was used just enough to be good.

I don’t think it’s fair to compare the seasons since we had no idea what to expect in S1. There were gags that didn’t work last season too and the Mosquito Hunters Club and old lady subplots were worth it.

This last episode felt the weakest of all so far, but I can see it setting up later episodes in the season. It wasn’t bad and had its moments, but it wasn’t as strong as the others.

That's an ongoing thing, go rewatch the very first episode, or the one with the orgy. Guillermo's always been pretty awful, morally-speaking.

Son of Thunderbeast

Yeah that's been an acknowledged thing since the movie, people who are vampire familiar or want to be vampires are necessarily going to have some sociopathic tendencies. Like, you gotta.

I loving love this series. I just rewatched the movie and first season this week before catching up on season 2. It's got some parts that are less that hilarious (the writers seem to think the "superb owl" pun is a lot funnier than it is)(e: tbf the vampires do an okay job of selling it at least) but overall I'm absolutely loving the new season.

<3 Nandor, he's my favorite but Colin might be overtaking him based on this season so far

Oh yeah, he is directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds (possibly thousands) of innocent people. Every character on this show is a villain protagonist. It's easy to forget because they're so charming and likeable, but they absolutely are monsters.

That's part of why I like the vampire hunter plotline so much, it's essentially a sort of twisted redemption arc fueled not by guilt of past misdeeds (although to be fair Guillermo does seem to feel pretty bad what he's doing whenever he stops and thinks about it), but rather a series of workplace grievances.
