He came back from his injury noticeably slower than he used to be and I think that's probably down to him - if I remember right - not taking the time off to properly heal up or even get the surgery he needed? I still dig the group and he's a fun part of it, but I do think it probably would have been to his benefit to take some time off to heal up. I imagine he didn't want to risk ducking out when he had found himself part of a hot act in a new promotion, and none of them thought COVID was gonna be a thing, but I think he's probably done himself more damage in the long run.

Luchasaurus has always been the weakest part of the team and I think everyone involved knows it. WWE ruined tag teams by making you constantly think “who is the Jannetty?” but Luchasaurus is def the Jannetty.

I hadn't thought about it, but maybe him being stuck in California through this whole thing will help him heal up, do some at-home physical therapy or something, maybe he can come back a bit more limber than he was. I'm very impressed by what he can do at his age and size, but it would be nice if he was at 100%. I also really appreciate him as the put-upon single father of two in the interviews/promos they do. He's also the only face giant that I can think of on the roster, Brody and Wardlow and Lance are all heels. I guess Hager is too but he also sucks so he doesn't count. Old Dustin has the height, but doesn't really seem to play up the power (assuming he has it at this point).

I still thought Luchasaurus was cool when he came back from injury but then we got Wardlow and Archer and Mr Brodie and they're all way better than him which does expose him a bit. He still works well as a hot tag though and Jungle Boy's always been the star of that team anyway.

I still like Luchasaurus in the ring, he's not as agile as he used to be but his strikes still flow well and it seems like he always manages to get a good knap on his kicks so they sound powerful. Plus that standing boot stomp is amazing.
